  1. myka i could hug you right now!!! thanks sooo much man, that page had exactly what i needed *gives cookie and props*
  2. being the owner of a mosvalve, i can tell you this, find one now!!! ebay has them very cheap and they crush a lot of poweramps out there when your using them with a modeler, (tried my friends marshall poweramp with my podxt, and switched to the mosvalve because it gave a better overall sound)
  3. !!! thats about the kind of price i could handle! any place online that does that?
  4. LOL, well he does a killer job thats for sure! im assuming you go on a 50/50 payment setup right?
  5. not a problem rhoads, im looking into all my options right now, but im pretty sure you will be hearing from me pretty soon. a local luthier quoted me at 395.00 for ablam and synthetic pearl rhoads quoted me for approx. 310.00 minus shipping jeremy's website says the same thing as rhoads
  6. im guessing that nobody knows , i guess im might have to try on my own, but the only tool i have for inlaying is my dremel, what else do i need? just read phil, i will do that!
  7. i want to get a vine of life inlay done, but the general price for it is way out of my budget ($300+) so i was wondering if anybody makes any kits for the ibanez vine of life? i mean just the shells cut to the shape that i need, so all i have to do is route out my fretboard, glue em in and radius the board, thanks.
  8. another option would be to go to www.nealmoser.com i know neal is friends with gary and now carries the 2300 flatmount kahlers that were released earlier this year, im pretty sure he could get you the parts you need.
  9. first, stewmac carry replacement lock-nuts, also i dont think your problem would lie in the nut, is your neck straight? are the frets in good condition? if your using a floyd (which is more then likely what you have) is it set up right? the nut is not usually the problem with floyd equiped guitars at least in my experience, and as for replacing it, unscrew the old one, and put the new one on, but make sure you get the right neck width.
  10. if your going to be doing it to diamond plate, I would go have it powdercoated, or if you cant afford that, just use spray paint on it.
  11. im trying to find the ones i have of it with the bevels done, but its going to be a few more days (i have about 130 more cd's to go through....) but thanks for the kind words man.
  12. well i will add more pictures to mine, but for now this is what i have, this picture was taken about 4 months ago before i finished the routing and first few base coats of flat black, like i said im just waiting for the neck http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1109366
  13. hey saber, you think i could buy some of that acrylic off ya man? i am going to need some for my jem vine pretty soon, unless you have a website i dont know of? let me know man, thats a killer neck!
  14. all wrapped up in a nutshell thats exactly what is up with doyle and jerrys guitars! quite simply you want one? make it cause nobody else is going to be able to, get a big ole piece of paper and start drawin, thats what me and mike did
  15. hey metal carver, would you be willing to machine me a js series body? and if so, how much would ya do it for, PM me if you can.
  16. i think neal moser would be proud, that is one sweet lookin virgin!
  17. it looks damn close man, just take it slow and dont get too excited, remember measure twice cut once!! hopefully pics up by friday(there old, before i did routing but you will get the idea!)
  18. well purpleheart is some bright sounding stuff, a little goes a long way, but its possible, hell on your tools though i havent worked with padauk or bubinga though
  19. man, that looks more and more like mine!!!! the only thing i didnt do on mine was the upper spikes, they are straight on mine, i wanted it to be a little bit different then the normal design, hell it has a 27 fret neck!
  20. yeah i will definatly be using steel for the baseplate, how much do you guys think it would cost for a big enough piece of steel? (note i dont really know much about metals so bear with me...)
  21. i know of side dots being done with fibre optics, but i dont know about the inlays like i want to do, i dont want leds in there but i want those lights!
  22. im pretty sure what i have is stainless but i will have to check, i have had this piece for months now and been using it as a paperweight basically, how wide do you think the block should be to hold all the springs jeremy? this things going to be huge as it is!
  23. i believe my father got it at the home depot but im not sure i will ask him in the morning when he gets home.
  24. btw that whole reply was copied from neal mosers website^
  25. i just striped down a 04 bronze warlock about 2 weeks ago for a friend who wanted a camo job, and it was definatly a plywood body, the mdf comment was a joke
