  1. this one directed mostly towards you lgm, i know when you do chrome inlays that you use that mylar tape used in sign making, now i have access to some of this, but what kind of plastic do i use on top of it when im doing my inlay? would plexi glass work or would i use acrylic? also its self adhering correct? i want to do chrome pinstripes on 1 of my 3 rhoads V's so i want to know before i start (also im going to do a chrome vine with blue fiber optics!)
  2. definatly contact jeremy, he's a ibanez guru!
  3. travis heres what i did with my rhoads v's i got the body shape, then proceded to design everthing else, i decided where to put the bridge, pickups etc, its not that hard, just remember to keep your scale length
  4. strings, have you seen the bich spinoffs neal has done? personally i like the phoenix more then the bich
  5. i would check ebay because 100 for a guitar/case/amp and cables is...well tough to find at best, bc rich makes a begginer pack for 200 and it has all that.
  6. kahler awesome *cough* dimarzios *cough* there all better!
  7. ....wow.....that thing is killer myka, looks like a swimming pool, what kind of dye did you do and what method of finishing did you do?
  8. what i would do is use a bench plane to level the entire top then retop it, it takes a while to do that, but it will probably yeild the best results
  9. i think it would look even cooler if you took the top horn and shortened it to the same size as the bottom horn and then do some kind of 'spike' on the back horns, but it looks pretty cool
  10. im seeing how many people around here have made there own templates and just how many they have done, I have been working on several neck thru guitars in the past few months (you regulars might remeber my daily rhoads v rants!, well guess what, now im workin on 3 of em!) all of these guitars are neck thru and they will all have deferent specs, but anywhoo i have had to make several templates for all of these guitars and its taken more time then actual fabrication on the guitars (that figures though) anyways here is a list of the templates i have done floyd rose route (4 templates-front, front depth, back, lions claw) pickups (singles, hums-easy...) truss rod template (this was a #$Y(@!!! 4 total 1 for each of the following scales: 24 3/4, 25, 25 1/2, 27) body templates (rhoads v, jem/rg, warlock, soloist, prs, and custom of mine, ironbird stealth and ignitor on the way) neck template (not too tough but tedious) headstocks (easy-widow, pointed, gibby style, fender style, reverse pointed, prs style) electronics cavities (1 for each of the 6 guitars i am building-yea i said 6) battery box (easy again) all of them are made out of 1/4" plexi glass.
  11. you got PM eddie! kahler routing templates......looks like i got to go buy some more plexi!
  12. well considering that neal designed the virgin (which has really always been the scythe just without the back carve, name was changed when class axe bought the design-correct me if im wrong shredder guys!) its not really much of a suprise, im actually in the middle of paying for mcs guitar (an import bastard V) and i cant wait till she gets to my door! I would definatly contact neal as he would be able to help you the most, go to the MCS website and sign up on the shredder.
  13. well i USED to be a avvid bc rich player and supporter, but that was until recently when i have heard of several mishaps in there custom shop division, including but not limited to: incorrect hardware and finishes on guitars shotty instillation if truss rods(i have heard of 3 cases of this in the past 2 weeks, not good) overkill prices (4,500 for a mahogany bolt on with 1 pickup and a floyd is OVERKILL) now after all this i found a much better company that does HIGH QUALITY work, and that is MCS. old school bc rich crew workin there and some of the most wicked designs ever!
  14. do you know if that bridge humbucker is a jb50c? if it is would you be willing to trade? i have a dimarzio tone zone and a duncan invader i dont use anymore let me know. im in the us so i would pay shiping for it.
  15. actually i have a jpeg of the stealth and its not full size but plenty readable for plans and yeah of coarse im on the shredder!!! (getting my bastard Vi by the end of the year \m/ \m/)
  16. eddie, you want to trade plans, i got the stealth and i need both the rhoads and warlocks. hit me on pm
  17. there have been several topics such as this one, do a forum search before posting this please.
  18. southpa how many of those do you have left, i need some really bad and we dont have a decent hardware shop around where i am, whats your e-mail?
  19. neal moser will make them for you custom, but its not going to be cheap, but again neal is building them so you know you will be getting high quality stuff there www.nealmoser.com
  20. yeah, i put a pair of evolutions and a schaller in it, scalloped 21-24 split the coils and it friggin rips! btw ironbird is taken care, so thanks guys!
  21. thanks blues thats what i needed! btw, that dinky is still kickin my butt!
  22. thanks for the link man, but i was asking for cad files not the templates, though i might just by those!
  23. does anybody happen to know where I can find a cad file for these bodies as i was hoping to order on of each from alnico, but i cant find the right file type and right sized bodies for either, i need dxf format files and please help a guy out on his 3rd guitar (1st still and 2nd are still being worked on)
