  1. woah thats like a pretty cool lookin for a tele. considering i hate teles, but this ones an exception. Its it usually that thin?
  2. Thats my finished 'Stratonecaster' that has a black n white ska theme. Pickup covers, knobs, tips and bolts are black and i have black and white tuners but just not fitted yet. The randy rhoads neck has been cut to a more pointy state and the body around the neck pocket is going to be routed. so far i have all the neccessary parts.
  3. just put rolls or paper in the holes to stop anything from getting in.
  4. you can also buy matt black or satin paint.
  5. do you have to do several layers of copper tape in the cavities?
  6. its been a while and i have drilled, routed everything and have most of the parts. the rest of the black hardware is coming in on monday. It is all sanded at 400 grit and will continue to sand untill 1000. the neck is prepped. a few things i have to fill with filler but other than that its ready to paint. The strat project is now becoming the Tone Special project - ska themed black n white strat. the parts for that are coming in on monday also and i can post screens of it. heres a pic of it soo far. BTW: wheres that heatbox post?
  7. couldny you just put a steel ring inside the cavities instead of using conductive paint?
  8. yes i seem to have fixed it. i just had the rear springs in and needed the normal strings in to counter balance it. its fine with only 2 springs in since it is a v guitar. but i still dont get how to put strings in with string saver block thingys that go into the thing behind the saddle. where does the ball end on the string go? bridge or tuner? i put the ball end on the bridge in the space and locked it in. am i supposed to have the string threaded through the bridge?? so far string savers do not fit!!
  9. i installed my floyd rose trem and the back of it seems to be under alot on tension and is sitting quite firmly on the padding. are they supposed to float? how do i fix the problem?? also am i supposed to string the floyd rose with string savers in?? off topic: i just routed my neck pocket and i wondered if the neck height in the pocket is supposed to be the fretboard sticking out like a strat.
  10. if the floor of a c6 was made out of balsa wood, just putting one foot in would snap it.
  11. eeehhh... i think going with a waterslide decal would work more than having a large piece of plastic covering the headstock. I had an idea! since epiphone is the 'child' of gibson, maybe i could edit the gibson logo to make it look like the epiphone one above by filling in some letter with black!
  12. All these are good ideas but i just cant find anyone or a facitility to do it. Im thinking of printing out the black and white logo and just painting over it. I just hope it doesnt show the depth of the logo.
  13. Is it possible or has a guitar made from balsa wood been made? If there was it would seriously be the lightest guitar in the world. Also the weakest
  14. That Bc rich devil girl mentioned is one ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2002-ESP-DEVIL-GIRL...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. yes but if i print black around the decal, how the hell would i go about cutting it out?
  16. How will i go about prining a waterslide decal that is white? is there a special ink that can print out white? I want the gothic epiphone logo on the headstock.
  17. whats Nefarium? your band or company or something?
  18. only if that acousic had the classical natural finish paint and was fat i would laugh. but i cant believe they acutally thought of making that.
  19. What is the guitar the demon uses in the music video Tenacious D - Tribute ?? its one of the most evilist guitars ive seen and want to buy one.
  20. nice, but i dont get why you didnt stick with the black and red theme with the hardware, pickups, bridge etc
  21. now thats innovative, whats next a acoustic Warlock? lol
  22. its going to get a flat black finish (laquer). Ill probly sand it to 220 so the paint will stick just a bit better. i have also found out i can get free 1200 grit sand paper from my school
  23. so im gunna need: alot of 400grit 220 320 a bit of 600 800 but you still havent ansered how rough i want my neck to be in prep. so far it is 400 grit with all the clear gone
  24. i have a few sanding questions. when prepping the body in its bare state, i have sanded to grade 1 grit, grade 0 grit, 400 grit and what do i go to next? after sanded im supposed to rub with naptha and shoot a base then what grit do i sand at for in between coats? wet or dry? when painting the neck, what grit do i use to prep it? wet or dry? i have already sanded at 400 grit and it just keeps getting smoother. should i go for a rougher say 200 grit and then start painting? im just asking these questions because i dont want to make soo many trips to the hardware store. could someone make a list of how much and what grit sand paper i need. i dont own a air gun so i cant clean off the dust that gets stuck to the paper.
  25. woah! now that is one cool finish. ive never seen a bich like that! is the original name BC Rich Bitch or BC Rich Bich? i see them on ebay and its always different.
