  1. "Tonight: MTV Unplugged with Korn" sorry, I had to. Actually I find 7 String Acoustics pretty cool. For more advanced Stuff, check out http://www.andymckee.com/ a dude that posts to guitarwar.com under the name "AlteredTuning". Insane player to boot... so long ace

If Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera/Jessica Simpson played "classical" music http://www.bondmusic.net/ did I make my point clear? so long ace

PageMaster, no need to be ashamed, I fell for that, too. Male, 23, single so long ace
  4. I'm about 5'9" and 140 pounds, at least that's what http://www.worldwidemetric.com/metcal.htm tells me, and I voted for s. I like tight shirts, actually I also like tight spandex trousers but I don't think anyone wanted to know that ;-) so long ace
  5. post edited due to author's stupidity, thank you so long ace
  6. Good to see you're back and everything seems fine except for your bike...Suzuki LS 650 by accident? so long ace
  7. Kirk you a Kurzweil tech? You just made the list of my top 100 favorite people ;-) I own a 2500 X which I love to death and I already know a guy who works as a Kurzweil rep at a music store and now you...that's cool. btw, I hope all works out for you Lex, doesn't sound too shabby so long ace
  8. I'm switching between 9s and 10s all the time. The thicker the strings, the more "balls" your sound usually has, and I really like the sound of my old strat with 11s but it's just nearly unplayable for me, I'm a light-fingered shred head at heart but I'd love to use thicker strings for sound improvement. so long ace
  9. less guitar tech in this one, but vocals and a nice long jam... www.yellowstudio.de hq is 14.7 meg, lq is 6.5 so long ace
  10. "the guitar alone weighs 14 lbs"...now do you wonder why it's never been played? And about the fake fish / filling idea, I've seen an acrylic one somewhere that was actually a fully functional bubblegum machine...pretty cool when you need to chew something on stage... so long ace
  11. very very nice, head over to www.guitarwar.com right now so long ace P.S.: playing sweet home as the encore tomorrow, gonna listen to your soloing a bit, sounds better than what I played today in the rehearsal
  12. It looks like the thrash pickups I snagged off of Ebay for 10 bucks are actually Red Rock brand pickups, the Eric Clapton Kit I suppose. I don't have them installed anywhere at the moment. could anybody give me an opinion on Red Rock pups? I understand they used to be deliverers for Fender when they were still in business? They were an Australian company? On German ebay every now and then people sell considerable amounts of RR pickups which are obviously clearances and I wonder if there is any interest in those and how they perform. they go for about half the price of a Häussel or Texas Special set... so long ace
  13. That would be me then. So, is your trem conversion very noticeable? I mean, any more finish touch up necessary? so long ace

    Cheap bass

I'm really critical as to harmony central ratings. It seems like a lot of those ratings come from persons who a) rate in the first phase of euphoria after buying their new dream instrument or whatever or b ) don't know the difference between a decent and a great instrument. From my experience with Yamaha gear and lack of experience with Kramer's new stuff, I would clearly suggest you spend an extra 50 for a Yamaha bass. so long ace
  15. any chance of uploading those pics elsewhere? the links you have just keep loading forever in my browser without any progress...I'd like to see them, too so long ace
  16. Man Alan, that's terrific news. I'm so happy for you dude. See, this guitar just didn't want to part with you! so long ace
  17. Yeah, attached to the strap in one of those little bags. Yngwie has it like that and Steve Vai has it like that, too. so long ace
  18. I myself think it's cool that newer bands show some respect for those that treaded their path by doing their signature stage moves again. Vai does it all the time and pretty excessively and Yingwie can pull it off despite his big gut and that has me wonder every time. He did it on the DVD of "Concerto Suite"...but he forgot that he wasn't wireless..that was hilarious. A roadie promptly untangled him. I haven't tried it yet because my room isn't high enough and when doing it outsied on the grass you risk neighbours seeing you and I don't want that for my first couple of throws... so long ace
  19. Would love to listen but it just keeps on buffering forever... so long ace
  20. On a related tangent, you can go deaf quite well from a sonic impulse that has only 1 Watt of power but like I said...going out on a tangent so long ace
  21. How did you do the neck butnut? so long ace
  22. I myself don't want to relic the hardware (much) on my project...at least not the screws. Nobody's gonna inspect it that up close on stage and I don't find it bad if it's noticeable that it is a relic. On the other hand, some guys even change screws on their old guitars every now and then ;-) To make it even, I for my first project did go over the lacquer with 180 grit sanding paper first, to take the gloss away, then ust think about where wear will normally occur and go over those areas more. On the reliced LP...Gibson are offering one in a finish called "faded worn yellow"...kinda cool and sells for around € 1000 over here... so long ace
  23. Well, back in 82 I was like 2 years old...that would be a bit unrealistic I think so long ace
  24. Yo Marcel, If there aren't any copyright issues I'll host the plans on my server in the future, I'm not that strapped for traffic. On your site, the design is okay, only the newsscript is buggy with umlauts but I think you've already noticed that. so long ace
