  1. You need those 2 wrenches. One holds the bottom nut is place, while the other loosens the top nut off. It requires some force but if it seems rusted i guess spraying some wd40 wouldnt hurt.
  2. I like neck through like that because it feels like there no heel at all.
  3. If your worried about the routing of the trem cavity and spring cavitys then think about installing a Kahler. They require less routing so theirs less room for error.
  4. Thats awesome. Its kinda like a BC Rich Virgin but more traditional.
  5. Id be surprised if it was a set neck, seeing as its a kit. Because then they would have to provide glue and clamps. Its easier to mess up a set nekc than a bolt on. But if it is a set neck then ill prob get one.
  6. That fretboard looks really cool. Goes good with the green. And your cat looks like a cow
  7. Nice West Coast Chopper's banner And that orange is cool. Looks like you do some nice work. And do you have any pics that show that camo body better?
  8. Check out ebay. You can get a 5150 for under $400 probably. And then buy either a used cab or one of those 180 dollar behringer cabs, they arent the best but it should work until you cna afford a better cab. Or get a B-52 STEALTH SERIES AMP. there great for the money. One of the best solid state amps ive heard in awhile. $600 for the halfstack http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=04...ase_pid/481301/ and heres a blemish head for 298 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=04...se_pid/481300X/ so that head and the behringer cab should be only a little over your price range
  9. Try Harbor Freight. Heres a router for $30 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnumber=47937 And most people recommend a bandsaw thats atleast 10" and a jointer is used to make two peices of wood perfectly flant so you cna joint them together I.E. a guitar body.
  10. Man that looks awesome. You need to get an emg and paint it blend in with the skull, that would look awesome. The headstock origanal too, was that just a regualr fender headstock before??
  11. Balsa wood isent a good idea you cna indent that stuff with your thumb nail.
  12. Awesome news, i hope its still in good condition.
  13. I thought you where going to do that cracle finish? Either way it looks awesome, total 80's hair metal vibe And i cant tell but from the pics it looks like you painted the neck pink aswell? Did you?
  14. It didnt use the alen wrench adjustment instead it used a hex wrench. And of course the genious' over at jackson put a tuning peg right infront of the truss rod so in order to adjust it i need to remov the tuning peg, good thing its a floyd rose.
  15. Bill Lawrence Pickups are cheaper than a seymour duncan, when you buy a Bill Lawrence pickup you talk DIRECTLY to either Bill Or Becky, both are very friendly. And the invader is used by blink 182 where as the l-500 is used by Dimebag from pantera yeh i just threw the last fact in for fun. Thats why i prefer a bill alwrence. And Seymour Duncan must think the L-500 is good too, i mean they made their own lame copy that only cost twice as much and sound worse... and dime still uses the bill lawrence l-500 not the "Dimebucker".
  16. Nevermind i figured it out, god im stupid
  17. Ok i have two jackson necks and one need truss rod adjustment. I removed the cover.. and notice the truss rod has sumething in it so i cant get my alan wrench in at all. I look at the other neck, same thing. I need to know how to adjust this? Is it normal?
  18. And its digital It eats up batterys REAL quick. The metalzone is good though. A tuning??? EWWW I know Nile tunes in A. But live they sound like crap its SOOO muddy just like a elephant with massive gas problems.
  19. I used to but i didnt like it much. It wasent very versitial i could only get a 80's Metallica tone, nothing else. But i have no need for pedals now that i have my 5150
  20. If you play metal a 5150 would be a good choice, but i dont know your budget so ic ant really recommend much
  21. http://www.sharp-concepts.com/main.htm This site has some cool diamond plate also. I really dig that Black diamond plate
  22. BLS

    Noise Gates

Ive heard EXCELLENT things about the MXR Smart Gate, If it can quiet a Peavey 5150, it can quiet anything. Most people also said it didnt take as much of your tone away as the Hush Pedal does. Personally i never used one but i plan on trying one soon.
  23. Cool, After seeing all these awesoem Saga kits im gonna have to get one
