hia i have recently transcribed/tabbed the 24th caprice from the violin part, i had to put some stuff down an octave or 2 because of the range etc... anyhow does anyone have any tips on playing this piece, and tips on how to approach the sweep picking and articulation on the notes. btw have you seen the string skipping, omg cya laters, thanks in advance mike

  9. hey guys, im workin on this ibanez rg style design, and was wondering where i could get the neck bolt things that ibanez use, or what would do as a similar alternative, thats readily available. i wanna make the ergonomic neck joint type thing ibanez do on the rg atm, and dont really want to use a plate.. thanks mike
  10. cool, the figured top would be a shame to cover up! ive started my adaption on the ibanez rg today, making body atm, then neck etc... its gonna be a little different, carved top and probably oiled finish, figured neck etc... the body looks almost exactly like my rg320, but there are subtle changes. its gonna be 27-29 ish frets, havent decided which, 1 humbucker, and perhaps a hot rail or something if there is room! mike
  11. nice guitar that, bit like the one i plan to make, cept i have now fallen in love with the carved tops!!

nvr used it, but bro paid £40 for a picture signed by Iron Maiden
  17. locking nut does a good job of keepin the tunning, as the nut can cause binding and stining instability even with locking tuners

  20. kinda ugly, but pretty inlays. i just dont like the warlock, not my style at all mike
  21. it took me about 2 or 3 hours for the notes, then a week or so to tighten it up, and get the speed (well 80% or so speed) of it then 10 mins or so a night, then i just lost interest and havent played it in ages, and probably will end up hoaking it out!! i learnt the classical bit from Paganini's 5th caprice pretty well in a few hours, but i just end up playin scales etc... mike
