  1. I would do it with a mounted drill and with a plane drill with its correct measure http://www.viarural.com.ar/viarural.com.ar...s-planas-01.htm
  2. Hey man, awesome guitar you have there! Your work it's really really clean, and your wife made a nice work on that inlay. Frank.
  3. Yeah. It deppende also what method you use to do the truss rod chanel. But your idea I think that's the better option.
  4. Jorger I recommend to cut the piece on the middle and glue them inversed, so the grain will not be for one side, preventing warp. Te recomiendo que lo cortes al medio y que los encoles a la inversa, para que el dibujo/veteado de la madera no siga. Entonces con esto prevenis que en un futuro se pueda llegar a doblar por cuestiones climaticas + humedad.
  5. No, before you glued the headstock you will need to flat the joint and the sides. Then you can add the pieces you need onto the sides.
  6. Hi, Demian. That was an awesome description of how we are living nowadays on Argentina. I have several "problems" with buying tools and different stuff for lutherie. And here it's all expensive (Vendoma has to low their prices). So, the problem it's that if you buy all the stuff like cds or books or what you can download from P2P programs, you cannot use that money for guitar building, and beleive me, here it's freaking expensive to get everything. Frank.
  7. I deem that finish tr00 LOL I want to try that on a body.
  8. Perry, that inlay it's very nice. Awesome woods you have there. I want to know where can I find rosewood for necks.
  9. Well, the user of the Rhino Liner'd guitar it's very happy with it. And he said that's comfortable.
  10. That's a very very very metal shape, Perry.
  11. Give Perry some time, I think he'll post some awesome update in some days.
  12. Thanks for answering. I looked and I found this system: http://chellee.com/site/Luthiers_Blog/Entr...ss,_Part_3.html I think that's a nice way to install them.
  13. The neck it's looking very good. Are you going to put a truss rod cover there? Becuase I see that the truss rod has a little piece out of the headstock.
  14. I saw a guy on sevenstring.org using that type of paint on his guitar and leaving all the textured stuff on it. http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/sevenstri...pped-paint.html
  15. I like the darrel one. Can you tell me about those guitar head pickups. I saw them on evilbay.
  16. White colour plus black hardware it's an awesome combination.
  17. Carl, the guitar looks amazing! The contouring on the horns it's very nice and the body wood has a nice grain. The only thing that I see it's that the bass string it's almost on the end of the fretboard. Or maybe it's an effect from the picture.
  18. Hey man, that 7 string it's coming amazing. I like a lot the combination of mahogany + the ebony fretboard.
  19. Hey. I want to put LEDs on one of my guitars i'm building, and I want to know is how you put them and if the Truss Rod can brake them. Considering that the truss rod can break them when it administer some pressure. Frank.
  20. Is that one of the Charlie Hunter style 8's? If so, where did he get the plans? Yeah, that's what I thought when I read it. Maybe he did some drawings about the guitar, or searched pics and made the plans.
  21. Thanks for asking. Now that I know, I will buy some stuff in the future.
  22. I will ask for some top woods for a project that i have in mind. It's expensive?
  23. Holly sh, Wez. That fretboard and the top look amazing.
  24. Matt, I have a new wicked shape to show, so you can start working on another guitar. Joking.
