if you want to play mellower music, you always could tune down 3-5 half steps.... should give any guitar a real mollow sound :D

but in general, dave's argumentation seems logical to me

btw, does anyone know how chambering for weight reduction affects the tone of a guitar? just curious....

thank.. to advice..

i listen on Classic guitar..

it is same thing cedar top and spruce top..

normally spruce top is good for variable sound..

because spuruce is bright than cedar.. cedar is mollow sound.

but touch is enable spruce to mollow sound.

thank.. to daveq, Slaughthammer ^^

I was just looking into this recently. A search (keyword=chamber) on PG turned up lots of threads but very few that were really talking about this. I thought that I read recently on mimf that the only difference was the weight but I can't find that thread again.

Chambers do change the sound. They seem to yield a more acoustic like responce to varied pick attack. This changes depending on the amount of wood you remove. The thing folks at the MIMF pretty much agreed on was that 'tuning' tone chambers was bunk. Or as one smartarse said:

"All my tone chambers are exactly tuned to a precise pitch. I just don't have a any idea what it is." :D

Not ugly at all! Very Beautiful! I like wood that has different character and grain patterns. Very nice. All of your work is great but I especially like your first archtop. Do you have a picture of the new sanding tool you said was so fast? Thanks for all the pictures and keep up your fantastic work!

I think I agree It would be cool to see more headstock variations but the one's he works with are in my mind unique in there own right I have never seen that headstock style on some of the type's of guitars he has built like the strat style

an the RG style now it's not my fav look for those body type's but there must be

people out there that would love it. Eather way he builds amoung some of the best guitars that i've seen on this forum. :D

EDIT:- oh ya that arch top is nowhere near ugly it's realy cool how you strive for perfection, perfection, perfection!!

AWESOME WORK!! hyunsu :D
