thedoctor Posted February 9, 2005 Report Share Posted February 9, 2005 I just took two repairs off the wall to see how stable the repair is and was HORRIFIED to see big black smears on their maple necks. The rubber condoms on the neck tree/fork of my hall hangers have turned to goo! I'm gonna try some surgical tubing after I clean up the stinking mess but thought I might warn you people that these things are a hazard after they get old. Sounds a little like me (now a "lol"?). They swing at cetrain angles so if you bump them on accidentm you dont have a dent in the side of the guitar. And also they lock into place from the guitars weight, so you never have to worry about them falling off.
