Thoughtless, do yourself a huge favor - if you're going to A/B between amps, make sure whatever box you build/buy has isolated outputs! The potential for ground loops between two amps, especially considering the state of most venues' power systems, is too large to be ignored. Check out RG Keen's Signal Routing and Effects Order section on the GEOfex FX Projects page - the "hum-free" items are the ones you should check out. There's even a real transformer-isolated A/B box without any expensive parts. It's worth the extra effort, trust me!

Greg, if you need help learning to read schematics, check the pinned thread at the top of this section for some potentially useful links.

{EDIT} Just saw the schematic. Never mind lol >_>

This project is something for my cousin to use. He wants to have one signal to go trough an octave pedal into a Bass amp and the other signal into guitar FX and then into his guitar amp. Apparently two-piece bands are all the rage around my town...

True statement!

How about a Y cable? Simple and cheap.

Yeah, but not hum-free. :D
