bowser Posted September 5, 2003 Report Share Posted September 5, 2003 i picked up a set of hybrid slinkys (9-46) a month back and i think they're pretty good. but i did have the same set on there for about a year, so just about anything would be an improvement. they were the set that came on my guitar i bought july '02. Guitarfrenzy Posted September 5, 2003 Report Share Posted September 5, 2003 9-42 is what I also play.. but have used up to 12's on the low E string to get a jazzier tone.. just don't switch back and forth much on the same guitar.. it throws everything out of adjustment.. not only the truss rod adjustment...
