Daniel Sorbera
That's a lot to do in a short time... They didn't give you a color they wanted? You had full control over that kinda thing? Also, I've always wondered, when we see posts frm Godin SD- is it from just you, or your brother posts also? CudBucket
Great looking guitar Godin. Is there a link to a tutorial for building Myka's neck pocket jig? Thanks. Dave

Ben
haha- he uses more expensive wood for that jig than I do for my guitars Maybe its time I actually made a guitar with some decent wood...

verhoevenc
So when are we actually going to SEE this newer version?! Chris
Daniel Sorbera
Due to some stuff going on I had to push pause for a while on this. I'm finally making progress now. All thats left is to carve the neck. It will be taken to the painters tomorrow to be cleared. I'll post some pics tonight and tomorrow after it's cleared
thegarehanman
So much for "guitar building with a deadline," huh? I look forward to seeing new pics.
Daniel Sorbera
So much for "guitar building with a deadline," huh? I look forward to seeing new pics. We decided not to go forward with our deal with the band at this time. Maybe in the future...
thegarehanman
Jeez, the whole deal fell through? Major bummer. At least you'll have another guitar to play. I keep telling myself I'll sell the next few I make, but I doubt I'll have the heart to part with them.
verhoevenc
Fell apart because it was late, or other reasons. Cause I'd be pissed if I made a guitar and covered all the costs for someone and then got screwed over like that. Chris
Daniel Sorbera
It was my decision, not the bands. We just decided to not go with this band at this time. Edited August 1, 2006 by Godin SD
mikhailgtrski
How'd the neck break, if I may ask?
Daniel Sorbera
I'm not 100% sure. When we got it back from the painters it had a crack along the truss rod. I guess it was my fault, it was carved pretty thin. It must have gotten bumped up aganist something and the thin wood behind the truss rod gave way. O well. Live and learn and all that...
