ok, got the truss rod and the fretboard ordered ( thanks doeringer :D ) so as soon as i recieve them i can finally start the neck carve and setting the neck. i have decided to go with a metallic orange flake for a finish with all black harware, black grovers and black knobs. woo hoo!

that is really cool looking youve really been liking that headstock lately. Im glad to see that it works on more then an explorer it looks wikid cool.

ya, i love that headstock. even more now that i can acutally make my own necks. that les paul with it was my first neck. i have done it on a les paul, this rg, and the diamond plate rhoads i have in this section. its my favorite headstock.

It looks nice. I like how you have the ferrules angled like that! The finish looks great, just as I said before the pictures don't do it justice, seriously. I bet with a better camera you could take pictures that showed reflections from that thing!! I have similar problems with one of my cameras, I have a 10 year old digital that sucks down the batteries and just takes poor pictures, but I do not like having the nice one with me when I am working on my project because of all the dust and chemicals, etc. I will use it though, once I am at certain stages by bringing the project inside or going outside with it and taking pictures.

Anyhow, I know how hard it is to get clear pictures with certain cameras. Either way your projects turn out really well, I always like how well done the carve is around the neck joint, very slick looking, and always well done. Nice stuff. Looking forward to seeing this one completely finished and your next projects, the neck blanks are looking really nice.
