killemall8 Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 18, 2007 ok, got the truss rod and the fretboard ordered ( thanks doeringer ) so as soon as i recieve them i can finally start the neck carve and setting the neck. i have decided to go with a metallic orange flake for a finish with all black harware, black grovers and black knobs. woo hoo! Im glad to see that it works on more then an explorer it looks wikid cool. ya, i love that headstock. even more now that i can acutally make my own necks. that les paul with it was my first neck. i have done it on a les paul, this rg, and the diamond plate rhoads i have in this section. its my favorite headstock. The finish looks great, just as I said before the pictures don't do it justice, seriously. I bet with a better camera you could take pictures that showed reflections from that thing!! I have similar problems with one of my cameras, I have a 10 year old digital that sucks down the batteries and just takes poor pictures, but I do not like having the nice one with me when I am working on my project because of all the dust and chemicals, etc. I will use it though, once I am at certain stages by bringing the project inside or going outside with it and taking pictures. Anyhow, I know how hard it is to get clear pictures with certain cameras. Either way your projects turn out really well, I always like how well done the carve is around the neck joint, very slick looking, and always well done. Nice stuff.
