killemall8
Very nice. I love the black binding on the first one.
ScottR
Man, those are some high end builds John. Exceptionally well done. I agree with K on the black binding, and the blue burst is imaculate. I see the binding is treated differently in the cutaways of each of these. What led to that decision? Just trying them on for size or material availabilty? Which version did you end up liking best? SR
sdshirtman
Thanks Scott. The binding is like that because of the availability of tall cream binding in that shade. It allows me to use the same size all the way around.
sdshirtman
Started three new builds this week. I'm doing a more traditional body shape this time and plan on these being stripped more down and straight forward with simple dot markers. (No markers on one?) I started out with some scarfed necks using some figured maple I picked up locally. I started out with the intention of doing a three piece lamination on these but that quickly morphed into 7 piece laminates. Once they were flipped and glued they matched up close to perfect. I dont know how I ever got along without a drum sander. These three are progressing a little faster. I think I've got roughly 16 hrs into these so far. Not to shabby. I even have some bodies to go along with em.

Stavromulabeta
Wow, those blue burst and spalted top builds are beautiful guitars! The blue is an incredible finish. Heartily looking forward to seeing how these three end up!
