Scooby Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 The picture of my first guitar body is here it is Paduke/Maple/Paduke. I have 2 questions. 1. What would be a good finish for this body? 2. What do I do about the crack like opening on the bottom of the guitar? It appeared after I cut through the maple. Can I fill this? And how will it look? The picture of the cracks are on the last pic.. #5 thanks Quote
daveq Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Try the preview before posting - maybe you can work out the problem that way. I've seen many people continue to post picture attempts but they never work. If you can see them in your preview but no one else can, I'm not sure what that would mean. I'm sure others here can help if you provide more info. Quote
Scott Rosenberger Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 edit Sorry I tried to link the pics for you. they dont allow it Quote

westhemann Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 i would fill the cracks with super glue and finish as normal. i guess you want a clear finish?might burst it to hide the cracks clear nitro? Quote
john Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 FWIW, that link worked fine last night. Quote
canuckguitarist Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 I think that would look awesome with some clear nitro/acrylic/poly...whatever, as long as we can still see that wood! Quote
