How do I change the pickups on my RG7620 to EMG 707 but still have the same switch-modes?

From what I can remember; 1st: Bridge; 2nd: Bridge Paralelled; 3rd: Bridge+Neck; 4th: Bridge Single, Neck Single; 5th: Neck.

Do I just need to set the wires from the pickups like on the stock pickups?

I'm not sure if you can do that, You need to find out if the pickup is capable of having it's coils split and tapped

it is only a two conductor [well and the obviously needed power supply] and its not setup for that. you can however add the out of phase switch to your existing switch setup without drilling..

you can't really...but the 707s are quite the awesome pickups...i think they are worth the sacrifice,considering most people don't use all those options a 5 way switch has

If there is an 89 for a 7 string, you can pseudo tap

There is also special circuts EMG makes to emulate tapping and phasing

go there and email them at their sales department to see if emg could special make you an 89/7...then you could do it
