imunwell2
I finally got to take some decent pictures of my inlay job. They are on my web site listed as: Guitar Final 1 through Guitar Final 15 http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...arProject.shtml I really like how it turned out. I have desided to keep it and give it to my son one day! Again, thanks to everyone for their help!! I will also put the links here: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_1.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_2.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_3.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_4.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_5.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_6.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_7.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_8.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_9.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_10.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_11.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_12.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_13.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_14.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_15.jpg

skibum5545
Man, how long did that inlay take you?!!! It looks so fragile; I wouldn't have been able to do that without snapping it into millions of little pieces.

Look closer and its a guitar in a fancy design around it. Nice job by the way.
imunwell2
Thanks guys!! It was a lot of work, but it was fun to learn. I really like how it turned out too. skibum5545, I got about 40 hours in just cutting the pearl and ablone. Then about 40 hours in cutting the wood and setting it into the wood. Then I had to mask it and paint it. Probably about 160 hours total. If I could charge like $2000 dollars for something like this, it would only be like $12.50 per hour. Not such a good return. Although I think the next one would go a bit quicker since this was my 1st, and there was the learning curve.
imunwell2
I got some feedback that the photos were too large, and took too long to load. Therefore, I made them smaller and more internet friendly. Sorry about that!
