  2. I got a Commadore acoustic guitar, needs to be re painted, no truss rod, steel reinforced neck, on the back it has 2 cracks about 10 inchs long, this was my grandmothers guitar that she got for free and never used it, my uncle played it a bit, then i inherited 2 years ago, then bought my electric, i was wondering, what can i do to fix the cracks? i aint going to repaint it because its a sunburst paint, it has chips all out of the front (paint chips) and i do not want to redo that paint job, those cracks are just seeming to get bigger every month, especially when the humidty goes up, then drops suddenly, other then that its a great guitar, any thoughts? Curtis
  3. i voted guitar, just cause i can play my guitar more then i can play my girlfriend Curtis
  4. Snork, just for you i wont do the cog and vines, i will probaly do some wrenches and pistons, screw drivers, the works, that good? Curtis

  6. ohh man, thanks brian! thats awesome too! Curtis
  7. i dunno bout the bridge or the mic 1/mic 2 thing, but he had custom knobs built for him, they are really sweet, medium round, like a collar, and have numbers in them, he had them custom coloured too, the colour has faded over the years though, so i cant honestly tell you what it is I would suggest maybe bronze tuning keys with bronze/gold tone/volume knobs, it would look killer! Curtis
  8. wow, how is that stuck on there? thats awesome! Curtis

  10. thats a good idea saber, i might draw up some pistons for the 3rd, and 9th fret, and have something else in the 5th and 7th Good idea, thanks Curtis
  11. how about a metallic blue with ghost flames, then where your pickups are have the outside perimeter of gold for about 1/4 inch out, thats what i call super shred guitar Curtis
  12. wow, very inspirational, i enjoy guitar, engines, and working in the garage on stuff, hmm, maybe a guiatr inlay, then down the fret board is the patch cord, then finally the amp? i dunno, something along that?? Curtis
  13. whoa, first post, kinda confussing, a little, you glue on the fret board, then plane it down after fret slotting and thats it right? Curtis P.S. first guitar and neck building, so if ask too many dumb questions, then its alright to slap me over the internet Curtis
  14. thanks, also, took couple looks at the washburn and found out the fret board changes height at the neck pocket area and near the headstock, but everything else looked the same, this correct? P.S. it also has a flat fret board, no radius Curtis
  15. P.S. instead of a logo on the headstock, I was thinking an inlay logo, then clear coat over it, be kinda neat Curtis
  16. Canuckguitarist- you know the ones shaped like a foot Yep, that one, apparently it sounds good?? or do they sound horrible? Cuz they are kinda cheap where i am
  17. Hello I just read the post of Engraving that Clavin posted (by the way, great job!!) and, i wanted to know what kinda of inlays i should do for a Jackson tribute, I dont really like the shark fin things, yet, i dont want anything too complex as this is my first time, I am not going to do the Rhoads flying v propellers either, i was already thinking that, but no. Any ideas? i dont want just regular dots, something a little different Curtis
  18. omg, that is beautiful!!! great job!!! Curtis
  19. the fret board sits on top of the truss rod, do you have to route a little channel in the back of the fret board as well as the neck?? (double action truss rod = straight channel) or does it just glue on top of the neck?? i somewhat got a grasp of this, but not completly, also, where does the fret board change height? Curtis
  20. have you guys nailed his ass yet? that guy should go to prison with a 6 foot 6 guy named Tank that enjoys the company of puny little stealing ministers. Hope he goes to prison and his ass raped off Curtis
