  1. imo, Rhoads V's are meant to be 6 in line. the body shape doesn't lend itself well to 3+3, again, imo. Yeah I must say I like 6 in line on a Rhoads too.
  2. I can see the picture now! Cool! Yeah that would look good as a headless. But I agree, you should do a scale version. You might find some things that you want to change.
  3. You should add a picture or sketch so we know what kind of design you mean.
  4. Oh ok! Yeah mini switches would look good there. I thought you were putting knobs there. P.S. Sweet piggy bank!
  5. Yeah this does seem a little fishy! He said he'd customized all his guitars, and then says he doesn't have an amplifier? Hmmm. I thought that he might come to the conclusion that he'd need an amp to play an electric bass... Yeah I must say I don't like the look of the thing either. Honestly I'd rather have a Chapman Stick. Anyway, he's probably a good guy and just thought he'd give it a shot, but if it doesn't work he should say that it doesn't work. I don't mean to be an angry guy but that's my opinion.
  6. The only thing I would have done differently would be the spacing of the controls. They look to close together for my tastes but that's just me. Everything else looks great though! I really like where you put the jack, I wouldn't have thought of that. The headstock is awesome to. Good Job!
  7. That's gonna be cool. What is the neck (i.e. brand)? Also it could just be the picture but it looks like something wierd is happening with the binding near the heel of the neck.
  8. If you were to get into that business, it would help if you had something really unique to offer. Sure you could sell the telly bodies and strat necks etc. But it would be easier to make a profit if you had something that nobody else offers. I guess this goes with almost any other type of business but i thought it would be worth mentioning.
  9. Yeah! That first picture scared the crap out of me! But seriously, that looks great, especially the carving. Great job!
  10. DUUUDDE!! Even if nobody can play it once it's finished, it will be crazy bragging rights lol. You could say, "Yeah? Well I have an EIGHT necked guitar!" hahaha I'll be watching this one for sure. Good Luck!
  11. Yeah especially if you want to replace the pickups down the road.
  12. I kinda like the look of the handle. haha
  13. Whoa. Thats crazy! Doesn't look very comfortable! haha
  14. Wow those look really nice! Yeah the way the tuning machines are mounted is cool! Don't stop building guitars!
  15. +1! Some of the prices on those necks are quite appealing!
  16. I've never played either yet, but my teacher is getting the VG so that could change. Anyway I don't know how they compare in tone or playability, but I myself would take the looks of the strat over the variax anyday. Something about how the Variax looks just doesn't sit right with me.
  17. Well the guy who wrote the paint your own guitar books wrote this other book that shows you how to make this jig for your stand with a piece of wood basically that keeps your guitar off of the rubber or sponge. The books about $5 I think.
  18. Yeah I think that would look cool or maybe green pickup covers and green knobs. Good Luck.
  19. I have the POD 2.0 and this portable one looks actually pretty good in comparison. Especially seeing it's price.
