    thats a really cool idea seems pointless on a beginer guitar though i would love it though for the off the top of your head riffs you play different when you record them later there always better the first time lol (or so you beleive if only they had this in higher end guitars)

    ya im in the states and i checked a fender guard up against it already of course with my luck it didnt fit. Is it possible to cut it rough with a jigsaw then do the bevel by hand with a file?

    ya man i dont have too much luck with electricity im just glad nothing too bads happened yet though. Mood deffinetly effects it and that really killed my mood my band hated me that whole day.

    just was thinking bout this topic i actually had another the other day with my band i was using my peavey studio pro 112 and when i got to my ryhtm guitarists house it started raining, the amp got wet and when i used it it sounded awfull i couldnt play all practice i was going nuts.

    well great news after all this time the paint cracked during the curing time and i have to redo this guitar for my friend out of my own pocket. Also i have to make a new pickguard because we tried to relic it and i was using a torch to burn the wood and complete brain fart left the pickguard on Plastic+fire=melty mess. This could not go any worse

    is there a cheaper way then buying the stew mac bit? i messed up my buddys silvertones pickguard and you cant buy them so i have to make one. What do you guys think?

    i really dug there meantone blues neck untill i read its designed to not be used with any other instruments that are not in the meantone temper thatd kinda screw a band over

    the yamaha eg112s are actually pretty nice with a little tlc i had one as my first guitar and recently hot rodded it with dimarzios a new bridge etc. It plays really nice. shaping the body shouldnt be too hard the horns are already pretty close to ibanez. good luck

    i agree with wes ive never been a fan of schecter the ibanez universe is really cool. Schecters have always visually looked bland to me too. this doesnt affect playing but they looks so bleh to me. Thats just my opinion though.

    looks pretty cool thats gonna be a pretty cool neck im not an expert on necks though so i cant say anything about strength i dont se why it would be weak though gibson necks are mahogany so why not mahogany and walnut.

    i think i might not buy it because it doesnt ground right and zaps me and my band mates all the time weve gotten zapped pretty bad and i dont want a fatal accident

    i use the same as marksound the musicians friend pics are awesome and cheap i cant use anything else now it feels weird without those picks.

    thanks guys i would change the tubes but the amps a loner at the moment my friend got it from his uncle and didnt want it sitting in his basement (he doesnt play) so he let me take it to my house im gonna buy it once i have the money though. Then its getting some groove tubes.

    This stinks im having a wikid bad day with my tone the amp is just not sounding right today. Its a 1970's traynor bass amp and i dont think the tubes have ever been changed so it doesnt always sound its best. I just cannot get a good sound today and its driving me nuts! anyone else have similar experiences?

    epiphone makes a mandobird thats a mandolin shaped like a firebird that has 4 strings so i guess yours is still a mandolin im not really to sure on mandolins ive got one but i dont enjoy them as much as guitar.
