  1. Seesm relics are "IN" right now, I really love relics, so no prob here I found this cool pic that might help you I thik it should be a bit more torn and scratshed and stuff but the pickguard and color look nice! Oh yeah and don't forget considering a reliced matching headstock!! Am looking forward to see thsi project comming to life!
  2. I started playing guitar in january and if you would have asked me this list one year ago at the eXact same time my list would be:... Kurt cobain ... euh ... Maybe that guitarist from Metallica?? (I didn't know ANY guitarists) Van halen... euh?? is he somekind of movie character?? Jimi Hendrix ,i heard of him but i don't even know one song.... NONE of the guitarist on that list where ever played on the radio here in belgium!!! I even started listening to ACDC because i heard them the first time in tony hawk pro skateboarding so by this time i think I'ts an acomplishment to even put 10 famous guitarist on that list! of course some of you have grown up with these artist but this was all kinda new to me. and of course this list does tottaly not show you my taste of music, If this was a belgian forum alotta other names that you don't nkow would be on that list so for now my taste is (Metallica, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix) thes 3 names are the only names that really show my taste!! Belgian artist are :Gorki, Zornik, flip Kowlier and these are the total oposite of my list. PS you where right about my age I'm 16 -edited some names that where spelled wrong -
  3. A beauty man It looks like an EHV / Zakk wylde typa guitar (best of both worlds) Gold hardware would look nicle on it, but you'l have to get epiphone one's coz I heard gibson tailpiece's don't fit on epi's. I see you've strung over the tailpiece like zakk!! I also did that with my epi les paul standard (because the lower string won't break that easy!) I'm really consedering putting EMG's in it but because I'm more into metallica type of music I'll go for 81/60 combination
  4. N° 1 Jimi Hendrix (just look at the woodstock DvD and you'll know why he's Nber 1) N° 2 Van Halen (He reinvented guitar playing) N° 3 Kirk hammett (Jawdropping solo's need i say more) N° 4 Zakk wylde (He plays Metal like he was born to rock a guitar) N° 5 Jimmy page (needs no explanation) N° 6 Randy rhoads (ditto) N° 7 Kurt cobain (simplicity and geniality often go togeter) N° 8 Slash (ditto) N° 9 Angus young (some ppl like, em some don't ) N° 10 Malcom young (He shure is on of the best rythm players there is)
  5. here you can find the lectronics (thats what u mean with preamp rigfht??) http://www.simonandpatrick.ca/electronics.htm
  6. epiphone les paul standard, my first and (still) only electric guitar with a Roland cube 30! Its a heavyweight but I just love it!!
  7. I just got a few cables and I've put a DS-1 disortion before a dunlop standard wah and thats supposed to be the right setting for a jmi hendrix sound but i must say The sound just seems much to smooth there aint enough crunch in it! Maybe I should buy a fuzzbox! anyways Jimi RuLe'Z big time!!

  9. I've never played one of these but they seem very nice and seem to be high quality for a good price (price range : 300-600€ = 200-400£) I'm talking about the godin acoustics (simon & patrick, Norman and seagull) they look very good and have a martin style head! http://www.godinguitars.com/
  10. Did another search: Sinds a carrieburst has to remind you of the sea (guess what: the caribbean?) so here it gose http://www.jcfonline.com/gallery/char-stra...t-2312-kenn.jpg http://www.aplusguitars.com/taurusblueburst1.jpg http://www.guitars.net/Bozoarchtop_files/image016.jpg http://fukushiro.cocolog-nifty.com/guitars...ge/esp_blue.jpg
  11. WOW! I just love snakeskin finishes and this shure is a cool one, are you gonna post a tutorial on how you did it?
  12. I don't have a strat , I have probably the worst combination for playing that song : an epiphone LP and a roland cube 30 . I can get the right sound out of it so thats no problem aldo it shure has a fatter neck! I found another tab wich is much better so i guess the first one just sucks ANd i found a live version of the song where he definatly plays chords instead of single notes. I don't really know Bob Dylan , its probably a shame ,but I guess it might be the age difference.Aldo I just love the lyric he has written for allong the watchtower! PS I only play for about 8 months now so its probably more difficult to you then it is for me!
  13. Hey I've been lurking here too for a while not managing to make a single guitar because of not enough : funds/knowledge/wood? : I just enjoy watching other ppl's projects and how they evolve! and as for this one I've got one word! IMPRESSIVE I've never seen anything like it , thats top carving!!!
  14. It looks good to me! is the top grainfilled,?? aldo I think it would be a shame not to burst it! I mean , I don't see bursted V's everyday and thats what make's them so valuable and it looks damn pretty too ! but you should go to whatever you like afterall!!
  15. ok I was wondering if somebody here can play or has played all along the watchtower (one of Jimi's best next to purple haze and voodoo child ) Do you play chords or signle notes and is there a trick behind it?? and how did you learn it? I would love to learn it but all the tabs that i find don't really fit with how the song actually sounds! I know Purple haze ,hey joe but it seems this song is really much more difficult!! since this is the only real guitar forum I know, I tought I'd ask you guys
  16. sorry to say pics don't work! they give the angelfire logo! -edit- sorry should have copy pasted it, It seems very nice ! I'm not a swirl lover myself but this is the collest one I've seen!
  17. Wow killer guitar ! I really like the color combination red/black/gold @wes maybe the bridge on the real warlocks replace the tunomatic and therefore is in the same spot but since a tunomatic needs a stop-bar tailpiece it has to be placed in quit a weird spot!
  18. wow! it looks pretty!! it has got a nice vintage look (exept for the neck wich is just plain cool!) can you play it???
  19. WOW looks great man!!! btw The klusons look really good!!
  20. Ok this is one for V lovers and everyone who just loves beuatifull guitars!! The guitar is not new and probably a lotta ppl will know it but it was too pretty not to share !!Its a speciall waterfall USA made Dean V! everyone can post their guitars worth mentioning here! (why not even your grail or own build beauty!!)
  21. wow the guitar is really starting to look very good!! especially that mark or sign ... on your headstock, the pictures with the tuners installed also look surprisignly good! (and mostly I don't mind how the tuners look) have you got any idea what pickup your gonna put in the bridge position??
  22. hehe nice to see another les paul type guitar!! I would also take the 2nd one from the right, pointy cutaways really look good!! I woud love to see how it would look, I guess patience is the word
  23. Surfers get ready!! a really nice guitar especially coz its a first!!!
