  1. Setch, just ignore the IGNORANT kid, he just need a good spanking, somebody call his mom already??? PLEASE keep the threads in order, atleast the ones that are not yours... that was childish on your part...
  2. I'm glad somebody else is working on his Epi, I will be doing surgury on mine as soon as the finish on the strat gets hard enough to rough handle it. It's a LP, and I have much plans for it.unfurtunately it's binded and the choices for complete refinish without completely replacing it are close to none, so it will be a color and configuration of the electronics deal, I see you encounter a DUD your self , I have the same with mine, they advertise one thing and when they run out of material... they just use whatever is in the place. on yours the body is suppose to be mahogany and it sure looks like alder tome, on mine the neck is suppose to be mahogany and it's maple with some flame to it, look here atleast it's a plus on my side. How are you going to do the headstock, I think the only diff between the epi and Gibson is the devil ears or horns at the corners. It looks on your pic as if you were cutting the thing square. Any way good job so far, cant wait to se it finish, ...and also, try to get your foot out of the pics!!!
  3. that's one out of the closet, what about "el diablo blanco"?, any way, I thought I saw this one with blue already, about a month ago...? I don't know I'm having flashbacks, you have so many in the works that I can't remember...
  4. BeAR, so the neck lines don't go around like in the body? Or is just the pic. Great, I love the way it looks so far, do you color sand between the base coat with the stripes and the clear or just base coats?
  5. I think this is being resolve by Brian and the moderators... I remember reading a trhead about it this month but I don't remember were. Also as you can see in the GOTM thread for september there is only one place were you can post, and I do think that if you build "pro" quality guitars you should be able to compete with them. And even thought that was your first bass, I wiould consider it by it looks a "pro" quality instrument... So I think thats up to the Moderators to find how to make it a little more fair in upcoming GOTM's but on this one in accordance with te rules, Drak is on the amateur division. I see no point on disscusing this over, like I have read this many times, and seen lot of people getting hit for taking shots at the rules, read the rules, and comply, ...
  6. Not really, well it all depends on the resistance, car audio is usually 4 ohms and guitar amps depending are 8-16 ohms depending on brand... It will make the Amp run hotter and burn up in time.
  7. Thank you!!! Great, have you decided if you are going to clear it? Please put lots of it! That paint look sweet.
  8. Dude, that ain't no LTD, it's an MII, and he does play a Floyd, Atleast thta's the one in the War at the Warfield DVD... Did you check the link? Here is another link just in case. LINK
  9. LGM, that paint job ain't no joke, the inlay I like, but the paint is awsome, like all his work...
  10. I was going to vote for mine... , but I decided to vote for what I thought was the best one there and Drak got my vote... After all the work I put on that guitar I realized how muck more one had to put to get a finished product like the "Bones", Primal that's a sweet bass, I love walnut, but I will never vote for a raw looking guitar if there is one that want thru the agony I went coating, sanding, coating, sanding, etc... and then buffiong to get an immaculate glossy finish... All the other ones were great, I liked Boggs friend guitar but the neck killed it... Still great job all, until the next one... Up the Irons....
  11. Close the voting now, the winner is blue , or blue burst... Seriously, any other than natural or classic burstthingys (tabacco, sun or cherry) will be great.
  12. , still, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, Can you count a vote for each one once you get it right?
  13. And Brian makes sure that the kit is good, also he seals the cavities(a plus) I think about getting the HT-10 my self... It will be an interesting project.
  14. This is so true... I have the guitar inside a closet now, and I open the door and you can smell the fumes, in the last few days the smell have lessen some what, I will be waiting like Drak said, until I can't smell it any more... I cant' wait to play the thing...
  15. That is a great looking guitar, but you will have to be nuts to waste that much money on a guitar that will look better on a Medieval Castel Wall instead of on your hands being played...
  16. Great Job so far Jehle, I would have done it just like this... Makes complete sense...
  17. I know they took it out, BS... I can't believe that they just took it out because of a new model was going to be introduced later in the year... But look here whos the Artist behind the Urban Cammo MII.
  18. If you check some of hyunsus threads you will see that the cap he uses ia almost 1" thick, I think he goes 50% each type of wood, and most people here praise the looks of his woods, so is up to your tasste, you can get a 1" maple top, and carve it or sell the piece that you have and get a 1.5" mah and a 1/4 maple top. I will suggest that you get 2 maple caps of 1/2" and put the better one in front and the other one in the back, if I don't recall wrong there are LP and SG supreme that are like this... Somebody correcme if I'm wrong... EDITED: I found the LP, is here
  19. Actualy this are the new ones from ESP, but that one is nice too, New from ESP
  20. I know this is not a traditional V but comming from the person holding it I thought that the flame finish was pretty good, I never thought to see Dave holding a flame top... (at least I haven't seen him) Look Here
  21. Do a search, also there are like 5 threads going on tight now about paints, atleast search the forums
  22. I will say plywood, if mdf gets wet its done, plywood will swell a little and usualy return to normal once dry, and they way the layers are set it's supose to give it strength, also I think a 1/4 mdf will crack easier than 1/4 plywood, but if your router bits got bearings I will tell you to build them from plexiglass.
  23. I have a few over there, and the 2 I mentioned are going that way now, I'm in the ARMY... in USA now.
