  1. Craig; Nothing I could say would due justice to your skill and imagination for inlays. So I guess I can only Dragyn
  2. I agree, the horns look like the pincers or mandibles of a large insect. Actually the whole body looks like the head of some kind of insect. Mantis sounds kool, also maybe Recluse as in the Brown Recluse Spider. IF only want to pick from the above list I would go with Sniper. I possibly need more sleep too!!!! Dragyn
  3. From a father for almost 20 years, congrats and many blessings to you and yours. It is going to be one hell of a ride for you and your wife, but just hang on and enjoy the hell out of it, even during the rough times. Very cute little one you have there. Dragyn
  4. We went from Amatuer Guitar for the Month of August to Weather conditions. . . . . Hmmmm. . . . . There must be a correlation in there somewhere I voted for Primal's bass because of the extra effort of it being an early in his skill level project, although I consider all of the entries far and above my meager skill level and awesome pieces of work. Dragyn P.S. It is mid 70's, sunny and humidity of around 30 - 40% here in northeast Il.
  5. I have a Zebrawood neck that I will be putting on a piece built and it is very solid and not looking to split any time soon! Dragyn
  6. Doh, mean you dun play guitar with your toes???? Maybe that is where I've gone wrong with it. . . . . Dragyn
  7. Hmmmm. A water based clear coat that doesn't mute the natural colours of woods. I think I need to try that stuff out on some of my other woodworking projects, besides the guitars. . . . Thanks for the link! DRagyn
  8. From one newbie to another. . .. . . . I bid thee welcome! Dragyn
  9. Somewhere between novice and hobbiest. Refinished a couple and putting two together from parts. Dragyn
  10. It also looks like it would be painful to play if you had to sitting down as well. Just don't slip, if you do. Ouch!! Killer styling! Dragyn
  11. Man I am getting more and more jealous by the guitar/bass. . . . . Great looking work there. Dragyn
  12. Try using the search tool above and search for tools. There have been a couple of threads concerning the topic that should be able to get you started. May also want to check the tools section of the forum as well. Welcome. Dragyn

  14. Lookin' good so far. Keep the pics coming!!!! Dragyn
  15. Looks very good. Be sure and show us the finished finished product. What colour where you going to make it? Dragyn
  16. The "ears" would be a bit deeper to account for the length of the mounting screws if you are using a pickguard or mounting ring. If mounting directly to the guitar body then I would think they would be the same level. If I am wrong, please correct me! Dragyn
