  1. That applies to the general nature of the instrument, not to the fairly minute differences between a strat,a V ,or a tele...None of those are going to put undue strain on our "musculoskeletal system". Maybe my physique would make a mockery of your "ergonomic guitar"?...by looking at it I think it would be vastly less playable for me than my V or my Exploder. What I find absurd is the somewhat egotistical claim that any such claim was made in the first place.Seems a waste of outrage,if you ask me.
  2. I like some death metal....(Death,Warface(they are new to me),Suffocation,Bloodbath,(is Meshuggah death?),and so on...) I am not familiar with Atheist...I am mostly a thrash metal guy(Slayer,Lamb Of God,Exodus,etc...)
  3. Once you go boutique You learn how to critique or alternatively Once you go Perry, you always will be merry. or something....there is alot to be said for high end handmade amps.(I know...horribly lame poetry)
  4. Mine came with a cardboard template.I traced it onto mdf.It was a snap.Only thing i wish the cardboard template had included was an optimum centerline both directions.(one for the optimum intonation range,if you know what I mean)
  5. I just mean I think you should read the pinned topics and the main site. These questions are all covered so many times here and through the web.You do yourself a disservice by not reading and studying instead of just asking here. Then once you know the basics, you can jump into the more advanced discussions and become a guitar tone philosopher like all the rest of uus think we are.
  6. Guitar volume at 10 at all times(all I really need is an on/off switch to be honest). I also turn my preamp to 10 and control the amp volume with the master volume.I really don't like the sound of power tube soak.
  7. If I want to record a riff so I don't forget it,all it takes is about 2 minutes of prep(start computer, start Nuendo, right click on add new track, click the record enable and mute buttons, plug in guitar, and go). if I want a click track, that only takes a few seconds as well.
  8. By the way I no longer play strat shaped guitars, even though that is all I used to play, because every since I played my first V I could never go back.A well designed V has unlimited upper fret access and balances perfectly. Of course my exploder plays just like a V...the extended cutaway on it really makes a difference.
  9. That girl in Warface also plays V shaped guitars. They are generally smaller guitars, which is why I like them. Hey Jon,when did Dee Schneider get boobs?
  10. Maybe I am wierd, but for me,the behringer Vamp sounds much more realistic than the pod.
  11. Yeah...I think those captions are reversed.
  12. I am sorry.I don't have much time to do your research for you right now.
  13. I really like the control cavity cover dragon. It reminds me of the expression my cat has when it's happy. To be honest,I think that is the first one of yours i have seen that captures a "mood".Very nice.
  14. yeah, but you can't drop that into a floyd rout. Brandenberg...change that bloated sig to 2 lines max."them's the roolz"
  15. Do not quote the entire picture.
  16. I have built a beast,2 Vs,an esp F copy, and an Explorer-esque guitar with mine and have only had to finagle just a little to make it work, but bigger IS almost always better in the case of a drill press. But off the top of my head i can't recall the size of mine. I cannot read the language on the sight you link.
  17. The difference between 10" and 12" is very slight over the 1 5/8" to 2 1/4" width of a six string fretboard. It is really negligible, other factors are much more important...like a level fret job. The bottom line is that you will be fine with a 10" radius and a 12" bridge.I make mine all as perfectly as i can,but that is more just from a standpoint of "if I know it's not right, why do it?"
  18. I use a much smaller drill press than that one.I use mine for drilling tuners and bridge mounting posts. The only thing mine does not work for is drilling input jacks,so I do that by hand.
  19. Read up on compound radius.Jackson guitars with floyds have compound radius fretboards(as well as other manufacturers)
  20. Sschaller is as good as the original, yet different.I prefer the original, but Schaller stays in tune as well.Ibanez also makes some trems that are as good, but I always get confused...I THINK the original edge is considered the best of them.
  21. I converted a guitar to left handed a while back.tuning it was the hardest thing ever.i just could not wrap my mind around it being backwards. good work
  22. I have been to denver twice and I live in central Texas.......Dallas is not what is reffered to as "god,s country.Go out west or to the central Texas hill country.it really is very nice...but it still is no colorado springs.I found denver to be the Dallas of colorado...meaning it was polluted and noisy...the only saving grace is the mountain range in the distance. Colorado Springs is gorgeous and friendly...I thnk of it as "Austin in the mountains"
  23. I am just thinking that is the shortest scale available on lmii preslotted fretboards. But that is from memory,I could be wrong.
