    This is a little off topic (still has to do with headstocks though!) but I figured that this question was real quick, kind of a waste of a thread, and there are most likely a lot of the knowledgable people reading this thread. Is it bad to leave a capo on a headstock? Like not just during a song, but all the time?

    I have a guitar with an EMG 85 in the neck and a Duncan SH11 Custom Custom in the bridge. I was actually worried about the combo because of what the site says, I was planning to buy the PA2 after I installed the EMG and all. But I ended up not having to - I left the pots alone (1 volume 1 tone and 3 way switch). The 3 way doesn't work how I want it, it is essentially the neck pickup alone (with the Duncan and the stock pup I used to get a very cool Zepp "Whole lotta love" solo tone). But the outputs from the two are about the same. I still plan to get an 81 when the opportunity presents itself, but until then I'm happy. I'm not saying that I don't think there would be an issue with mixing types of pickups - I'm sure there would be, I'm just glad that it didn't happen with mine.

    oooohhhhh, now I wish I hadn't asked... EDIT- i second that question.i read it several times to make sure i was reading it right You know I was actually thinking about this earlier. If you tune it to be in exact tune in playing position, then it would be possible for the guitar to be slightly flat when vertical. This could be because of the slight pull of gravity on the strings and stuff. But, even if that were the case, I doubt that there would be much change in pitch at all, and if it was flat that probably can prove that hanging by the neck isn't bringing any problems with it.

    Sure. Just give me 20 min. notice so I can get the underwear off the floor... You have so much on there that it takes 20 minutes to pick up?? Heh, just kidding. Now I wish I had some reason to go to Ohio.

    Check out this page HERE. I don't know how far off your neck is or if this will work, but it might be worth a quick try. (I'm referring to the bottom 1/4 or so of that page)

    a little off topic, but doesn't the attack album have the song Ship of Fools on it? that is probably my favorite Yngwie song - love the solo and the main riff.

    Good eye bowser! Although the pics don't represent well, there is indeed a recess which somewhat matches the cutaways. It might appear more prominent once it's finished. Cool! Any chance of some more pictures of it?

    toddler, one question about the headstock. In the little cutout at the end, did you put in a little recess there? A picture that you posted made it look a little like you did and I started thinking that that might look cool, to match the contours of your cutaways.
