  1. yea, that song is tuned one half step down for all strings. the Eb2 is the low E.
  2. ah, it was just a suggestion curtis, i thought I'd through it out there anyway. I'm not a fan of the iceman's headstock (or any of it for that matter) either.
  3. i too was skeptical, and i'm just not a fan of those shapes, but they look very very nice!! can't wait to see how they turn out
  4. you could always use the iceman headstock. Its almost exactly the same as the "normal" ibanez headstock is.
  5. there are jem blueprints on jemsite...the same body shape as the RG and PGM links at the bottom of this page: http://www.jemsite.com/origin/index.htm
  6. im sure that it has been discussed before, try searching for it
  7. man wes you sure are having a GAS attack lately huh!
  8. vwall, could you pm me with a price on those knobs? i was thinking about getting pink ones thanks edit - could you include some info on your truss rod covers too? it would be for an RG
  9. the first one sounds like the song on G3 live in denver dvd, with the triple neck. I don't know the name - I'm the hell outta here? is that it? can't remember now never heard the clean one
  10. Drak, can you take some pics of the wall and its victims for us?
  11. wow Drak, you really are a great guy (like we didn't know that before ) It's too bad that you don't finish these things instead of destroying them, but its awesome that you would just give it away to someone who liked it. man i wouldn't mind a free body either
  12. check this out: http://www.projectguitar.com/arc/support.htm you need to donate an amount of money towards keeping Project Guitar online, then you can access it.
  13. I think that you need to tell what model peavey it is you have before people can tell you how to mod it.
  14. heh, I knew that was on there somewhere...I spent about 20 minutes over there trying to find it without any luck, so nice work jester!
  15. well, I would also consider that the sperzels are locking, and they look a lot different - IMO more suitable to a more modern looking guitar. You can also get all sorts of colors from http://www.tkinstruments.com
  16. thanks for the advice guys. even though i already fixed the first issue, hopefully someone who finds the search function will read it oneday... anyway, i pulled off the pickguard AGAIN to look at the pickups, to no avail. I took some pictures of the bottom, you can't see too much because they are a little messy, but I will try and upload the pics sometime.
  17. well, I have that problem fixed. but now I have another question. What pickups are actually in my guitar? They are Dimarzios, but I can't find a model number on the backs. All it says is, Dimarzio Pickups Made in the USA. There are both a row of slugs and a row of screw heads. The bridge and neck pickups both seem to be 2 conductor. Does it say the model number somwhere on them and I am overlooking it? Anyone have an idea?
  18. Southpa, Thanks for the suggestment. The problems are that it is a dimarzio, with the triangle shaped tabs - there isn;t really anywhere else to drill a hole. Also, I don't have any taps. The good news is that my dad thought of getting a small nut to put on the other side of the pickup, that will hold it in place. He's going to look for one tomorrow and hopefully this problem will be solved in about 24 hours. Another good thing is that, this was the first time that I have taken the bridge out. It was actually really really easy, and now I have a chance to give the guitar a nice cleaning and once-over.
  19. Well, I just picked up a new guitar off the 'bay, a RG550. Its pretty nice so far, but I pulled the bridge off and popped off the pickguard because I couldn't get the neck pickup to move when I tightened or loosed the height adjustment screw. I found that the hole in the tab is stripped, and the screw can just slide through it. I tried another screw from a different pickup, but it is the same deal - this lead me to the stripped conclusion. Is there anything I can do about it, besides trying to find a similar screw with bigger threads? Thanks
  20. Jim Soloway makes some great guitars from what I hear - sometimes he visits and sells them on Jemsite. All of his guitars are 27" scale length, and he makes 6 and 7 stringers. He has a lot of details on his site, HERE by the way, those tuners are locking sperzels. I was looking into some of them since one of my guitars has junk tuners, then I saw those on one of his guitars and checked them out. I think you can get them here
  21. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=8589 EDIT - FYI the thread was in the In Progress and Finished Work section, back a few pages
