  1. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, if anyone one can do strange retro guitars, it's avenger63. Just look at the retrotron he did with the blue swirly top.
  2. I hope you're staying out of trouble macnut Sometimes all a guitar needs is a different badge...
  3. #2 for me, because I don't think I've ever seen anything similar. It flows well too. People need to build more Sabres, they are very interesting from a builders perspective.
  4. A neck pickup?! That's a bit out of character for you Matt I can only tell that it's yours because it has 7 strings. I love it! Wes is right, it must be white, I have a thing for white guitars.
  5. Oooooo I want to try that, I love lego and Star Wars and guitars so that would suit me quite well.
  6. Using a single coil sized humbucker can help the tone of a 24 fret guitar because the inside coil is a lot closer to the neck. It's all about compromise, just like every other aspect of guitar building.
  7. Tis fast looking. What's the wood on the headstock of the pointy one? And for that matter what's the body/top if there is one? No doubt the mildly figuered double cut will end up with an extremely vibrant 3D finish on it
  8. +1 about the headstock, it's a cool shape though, maybe just needs to be a bit bigger.
  9. Hahaha I went back and checked the photos again Still a brutal guitar though, even if it may not be making the most brutal music....
  10. That's my kind of guitar! Blonde quilt and gold hardware FTW! The fingerboard on the first guitar you posted is really cool, is it macassar ebony??
  11. The D-licious is well... DELICIOUS! They were all great though, as per usual.
  12. I had the idea of a capo style locking nut, but I'm in no postion to be building such things.
  13. Very slick, nice call on the colour scheme.
  14. As far as that Ibanez S goes, I've played on it on a number of occassions, and standing up it is VERY light and comfy. Sitting down it looses out to regular thickness guitars because it doesn't stay in my normal sitting position well, could be different for others. Building wise, expect a lot of sanding/shaping/headaches
  15. You weren't kidding, that's one spikey V! How's the structural integrity of those those long thin spikes? Wes that explorer is awesome! I might've said that before but yeah, I love it. Was there a thread about it? I must see more pics.
  16. Where in Melbourne was this woodworking show????!!!!!!! That's a really nice top, and a great guitar. You're doin the Aussie's proud
  17. Gibson made as many shockers as they did winners.
  18. Awesome! Are you shooting clears over the back and front now, or is some thing going to happen with the back? Do you spray clear coat over the stuff on the front? It kind of looks like a pattern from an Ice Cream shops table top.
  19. Well in the mean time how bout entertaining us with what you have in mind hardware/electronics wise?
  20. Wow cool pick! If your talking about designing body shapes, it's easy to pick an already existing shape and ask yourself "What if..." and modify accordingly.
  21. G'day from Oz, and welcome to Project Guitar!
  22. Ormsby is a guitar building machine though. The last one a did, took 5 months I think.
  23. $25, wow, that's awesome. I bet they'd want it back now!
  24. Love the Body, nice colour and finish, top notch! Is there a reason for for the 24th fret being so close to the end of the fretboard? It's not that it looks bad, it's just curiosity on my behalf.
