  2. the bloody thing isnt even as big as a icecream container...and no, it goes in AFTER the spraying so the paint cures faster
  3. wow, id be very interested if you lived in Canada and if i had paypal...good luck man and i sure hope she goes to someone nice
  4. my thinking though but let me get this right...you restored it? or did you build it...either way looks like its awesome craftmenship just not my style
  5. id probably do what my dad did and tape plastic in a corner of the garage and put a small heater in it....works for car parts...but right now id use my schools paint booths. mind you, my house has 4 garages + a giant shop so im taking over one of the storage garges and am investing in some tools
  6. the reason i want to see the headstock is becasue im interested...i came into the in progress forum and find this so i figure id ask if you had a picture
  7. looking good. Wouldnt you have been better off drilling/test fitting all the hardware and holes first before paint to minimize the chance of chipping paint? Edit:::::sorry missed a part
  8. yeah and if im not mistaken, didnt you make the warlock? or are you talking about a BCR?...i still havent seen the the headstock on your custom made
  9. that sniper one is the coolest...maybe ill try and make sometihng similar out of pine so it doesnt matter if i screw up
  10. i dont know why but that bass got me really happy...it is looking amazing and is starting to make me think of buying an old squier and fixing it up like you have done even though i dont play bass much
  11. dont worry, with in a few hours one of the pros will kick in and put you on your way
  12. I miss his advice, but he can be rude at times (I have my reasons)
  13. give us some measurements of your neck pocket...see if the neck will actually fit in the pocket then see how much clearance you need for the fretboard to hangover. Most importantly, make sure the scale length is the same as your current guitar neck
  14. Not only that but there's a GREAT tutorial HERE that will tell you all you need to know in order to accomplish it. I prefer the wraparound's too, but didn't you say you were running the strings through the body? Are they compatible? ← i would only put the strings through the body if i had a tune o matic. with the wraparound bridges, you can turn a screw at the end of the two posts which will make it on an angle (judging from from my mockingbird) that method looks pretty awesome, but im not sure if it would suit what im after
  15. ok thanks, i seriously thought that it was just for looks (i never really studdied into Tune o matics) so i think ill just find a Black wrap around
  16. Hi, just wanted to get your oppinion on what would look better for staining. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/Mar...00000000000.jpg Also, I noticed alot of people put their Tune-O-Matic bridges on an angle like this http://www.elderly.com/vintage/items/image..._body-front.jpg would it matter if i made it perfectly straight as with the ferrules? or if i tilted it slightly, but not exactly like other people? thanks does that make sense what im trying to say?
  17. Tune to C...man does that ever sound nice with the neck pickup
  18. Perry, what is your method? Do you just dilute the black alot? sorry for the basic questions but i figure its easier to just ask
  19. so when your staining black, do you dilute it much with water? and you sand ALOT off? thanks...looking good also i like 5
  20. i have a feeling ill end up with the SDs...i really like the looks of EMGs though, anyone know where i can find epoxy pickup covers like emgs use?
