1. Back on topic I decided to change to 10s recently, and i can't even stand hearing 9s anymore sounds so tiny! Anyways, I really like my action as low as i can, and i actually tolerate some buzz cause of that (too lasy to raise it.) But the frets on my guitar are so great... part of it 'cause they're worn but anyways. They're the lowest frets I ever seen (except those fretless wonders ) and i just hate the damn jumbo frets. They need to make low-wide SS frets!!!
2. look. Touch styles are either 6+4 or 7+5. You just need to make a bass, then make a guitar, then strap em togheter. (not really, but you get the point?) so you need 2 hardtails... one for bass and one for guitar, then you need pickups for guitar and pickups for bass, that's all. I've been giving this some tought too lol... Haven't even started my 1st project, and I alredy have so many ideas for my next
3. i don't know about photobucket, but I surely know Imageshack.us has this feature with a simple copy/paste Thats in the "Thumbnail for forums (1)" thingie. (this is some kinda custom graphics i wanted to make on my guitar)
4. I believe limba is in the same familly than mahogany...
5. That's why i'm thinking of going mahogany... after all 30$ aint much, and i'll be able to do the whole thing in tung oil and i'll look/feel REAL great
6. Holy s***, this is so godlike!!! oh my god, i want one too now, even though i know i'll never be able to even play one Edited language. BP EDIT: sorry BTW: THIS totally got me thinking. Anyone brave enough to try and make one in these forums? Its basically a bass and a guitar straped togheter with jumbo frets so...
7. WHY would I ever even THINK about being banned here??? i mean... there's no reason whatsoever i would be banned unless i'm a jackass who tryed to hack the site, no? crap... I even think the ban should have come faster than that

I Met

Hah, I was there. My friend got his guitar case signed by him I also attended a little "conference" from Robert Godin and spoke with him a bit. He tryed to discourage me of making a neck-through guitar saying the sound was bad And he also said that different neck angle changed the sound What's funny is that almost everything he said in his conference, i knew alredy because i spend so damn much time here... (i need a life!!) anyways, the MMMIS (montreal musicians and musical instruments show) was a real great exposition!
9. Only one i know of is Carvin... It's a neckthrough though www.carvin.com
10. Makes more sense than a motor surving explosions I can see danger in paint fumes getting in the motor's intake thoug
11. yea, I was thinking about getting a lefty whammy bar... in such a way i could use it with my picking hand's palm... that or a completely lefty trem.
12. Do you all think the 30$ would be worth it? It would also make the finishing simpler (tung oil)...
13. alright thanks! I alredy changed my pickup choice for that too... decided against a Duncan custom 5 for the bridge... a custom custom should work great!
14. hmmm, This would probably be the same as a maple bolt on with a maple cap right? EDIT: I figured: If the sound is too bright, would using 250K pots make it alright?
15. Here's my problem. In the next few days, I will get a Carvin neckthruogh neck. It's made of hard rock maple. Is it worth the 30$ more to get it in mahogany, for the sake of tone? Has anyone had good sound with a maple neckthrough with a mahogany body? Do i need a mahogany/mahogany to have a suitable tone or what? thanks!
16. You probably would need more power, but it would be much easyer... The problems with the guitar one are the 2 smaller strings.
17. Matt, you should ask LGM Guitars about textured paint... I remember seeing something like that... Else, my brother painted his car with some anti-rocks paint with some rubber in it... Gave a real nice texture man!
18. I glued my sperzels(thumbwheel comming off) with that and i had no problem... Just make sure you have a lil more hardener next time...
19. Trans. If it turns out like your example, then it'll be the nicest Jackson ever (and i hate those things, so it's a good compliment)
20. lol... You're right about one thing thoug. It ain't Fender nor Gibson who shall make any 7 stringers anytime soon. I don't really think 7 strings are really a "trend" right now... But i know Carvin makes some real nice ones and heck... they even have some 7 string floyds.
21. "Guitar maker group therapy" ? loll Would be good to tame Drak's WOD envys
22. Well, Carvin is REALLY good at listening to consumers seriouly.... You just have to call them You'll see most of their options aren't listed I admit there's not so much hardware for 7 strings, but it really has a quite small market after all...
