  1. what kind of stuff have you used it for?
  2. those links dont work for me, i think they only work for the person who did the search, could you list the names of those books? EDIT for some reason these links don't work for me but the ones in the other ones do
  3. could you use thumbnails as long as the total amount of pixels is still within what the maximum size picture could be? as in using 4 small pictures a quarter of the size of the maximum allowed size? or go even fifths or sixths?
  4. What the hell??? Remember the alamo??? ← must be from a movie or something
  5. so in otherwords, a CNC machine without the 4th dimension (time) wouldn't work? well in THAT case theres ALOT of CNC's being advertised that don't MOVE
  6. spray adhesive to mount it on plywood, thanks thats a good idea! (why havent i thought of using a jig saw for this before???) ps metal shavings in the eye ARE a pain in the ass because you cant see the metal shaving causing the pain to your ass, believe me i speak from experience
  7. I'm pretty sure what was posted before was just micro plane sandpaper, same stuff but for orbital sanders as opposed to this drill press outfit. I'll definitely pick up this and the robo-sander as i'm curious how they would compare. EDIT: wow i didnt know you could get microplane rasps! how did you find them compared to conventional rasps?
  8. i'm waiting for a picture of that one as well
  9. hey i never even thought of using a jigsaw for metal before, thanks man!
  10. the swirl is supposed to be the highlight of those ebay guitars instead it looks like it should LOWER the value of the guitars
  11. i heard about that! the guy at the local music shop collects those guitars and he heard about the fight that evh had with peavey, it apparently had something to do with putting singlecoils in wolfgangs or whatever. so the guy at my shop called the custom guy who made that guitar for evh with those pickups, told him to finish the guitar and send it to him, i saw it at the store its pretty neat
  12. for that guitar i'd reccomend sanding
  13. well first of all you do not adjust intonation by adjusting the truss rod, to fix your buzzing problem i suggest you check the neck for backbow or relief, those might be causing your buzzing problem and are the only reason to adjust your trussrod, but i'm not really sure what to do with your intonation problem
  14. i think something everyone might have not noticed is that you said you are scalloping the fretboard, if the scallops are reasonably deep the strings will never actually touch the fretboard, so you can paint whatever you want without having to worry about that paint coming off
  15. i think i'll go for it and build that pin router, but i'll make some changes to it, like maiden 69 said there is alot of bracing equipment that could be used, even just parts from home hardware that you can modify, i'm sure you could definitly get away with having some of the parts made of wood, just reinforce them with metal
  16. looks nice, just make sure you post pics when its finished too
  17. i'm planning on building one also, as far as cost goes i think it all depends on what you use for materials and where you get them, duffbeerman, there are several different variations of the copy carver on the net which site/plans are you using?
  18. did those people actually test it? i'm a bit of a metalworker myself i could fashion some of the parts that way
  19. i'm not sure about the flat black finish question but if you paint the guitar black with silver beveled edges it would be awsome something like this
  20. thankyou sooo much i really wanted one of these
  21. NICE work man, i really like what you're doing with the controls on that guitar, alot of people dont even carve out areas on their lp's for the controls so the knobs end off pointing in other directions, this is a new way of doing this good job man
  22. open can, he means he's dropped the price to 25, its still for sale, you ought to pm him
