  1. Ya, raise the bridge not the saddles.
  2. ahh true, i forgot about that, i couldnt even tell you when strats started to use 5 ways.
  3. This has been said time and time again, you don't need a huge amp, a 100W isn't twice as loud as a 50W, you can play gigs with a 15W amp, mic it, run it through the pa, if you don't have a pa ill assume you also have no vocals in which case you'll probably need a bigger amp. Also, peavey isnt an offbrand amp, just the crappy ones (i love my prowler).
  4. Well, im not sure what kind of kahler it is but i wouldn't mess with the saddles, raise the entire bridge. Im assuming this bridge is based on a floyd, but you dont want to get the radius all whacked out.
  5. It's arguably the single most popular Strat mod of the last 40 years, so yeah, probably. ← What about switching position selections so that you get neck +bridge together instead of neck+mid or bridge+mid or mid alone? That ones up there too.
  6. You could always install a different kind of bridge.
  7. Happy New Year, I spent new years with a bunch of my best friends and it was great. Hope its a good year for everyone, what are your resolutions? Mine are to get my liscence... and learn to sweep pick.
  8. DOOD LOOK AT ME I TYPE IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I DONT REALISE THAT I HAVE A LITTLE LIGHT THAT IS LIT UP ON MY KEYBOARD. (even though you must've noticed or were holding down shift the whole time because of all the periods you used)

  10. Your level of shred>my level of shred
  11. I have around 900 tabs sitting zipped, if your email is in your profile i will email them, if not pm me and ill send it out.
  12. Sick looking guitar, I say go for it if it plays good etc.
  13. I have my entire collection of 900 powertabs zipped in a file about 5mb, mostly hard rock/metal/classic rock I can hook people up with all fo them or jsut what they need by email.
  14. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...opic=20748&st=0 we've already started complaining
  15. Been done to death, search for more info but the jury is out on this one. The biggest consencus we have reached it that heavy duty paint may yeild bearable results but it will wear and will need to be repainted. Powercoating has been mentioned and some say it will stay and everything will fit and some say it wont. Thats the gist of it anyways.
  16. Its like george orwell predicted except we got an extra 20 years or so in...
  17. This is ridiculous, especially the suing a guitar store. Whats next? What if Campbells had sued Andy Warhol over his painting (I hope they didnt because then i would have made a moot point ) They think we should just give them every dollar we earn to enjoy what we do for recreational purposes, maybe if they didn't charge so much for everything in the first place they wouldn't be in the situation that they are but thats life and if we had to deal with being gouged on prices when we actually did buy things than they can deal with the consequences of us not buying. An open letter to the MPA: F**K OFF!
  18. Happy holidays, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa(sp?) Happy New Years, Happy... secular non denominational gift day? Um... have a good one.
  19. Hooooooooooooollllly s**t. It's like... a jackson on steroids, but lighter.
  20. Ya, i read that about the sustainer too so we'll see, either way for $300CDN with OFR and Seymour Duncan, American made guitar I'd say its a deal.
  21. Examined, played, bought, and is now sitting in my moms room waiting for christmas. It is missing a switch and a battery clip for the sustainer but i found a diagram for it and i think i might be able to fix it. Either way its still a great deal with an OFR and a Duncan pickup.
  22. I'm going tomorrow and I'll hopefully pick it up, my mom said she'd go half and half on it with me for christmas so it should be pretty sweet.
  23. Well, i was at a pawn shop in town today and I was looking over some guitars and I saw a seymour duncan pickup poking out of one of them. Well I assumed it would be kind of expensive but I thought I would look at the guitar anyways. I looked at the headstock and it said Kramer American. I looked at the bridge, Original Floyd Rose, my excitement was growing. I looked at the price tag $300CDN I was super excited. The neck pickup confuzzled me though, it looked like a dimarzio X2n but i wondered "who puts that in the neck" and "thats odd" plus the guitar had a fair number of switches and a battery compartment. So I came home and spent a minute looking on vintage kramer, its an old Sustainer gutiar, I got excited. I then browsed the 1991 price listings and found out that it sold for $1400USD. I played it and it was awesome, should I convince my parents to let me buy it?
