    When your typing a reply or a topic, look at the top of the menue. There is a little bar with a smiley face, and the font options (bold, italics, underline) 2 over to the right of the smiley face, next to the one with the + sign. You paste your direct link, and its shows up as a pic.

    I cannot find a simple on/off switch anywhere!!!!! its driving me crazy! Given, i am not an electronics wiz, but would an on/on switch work for an on/off in any way possible? If not, anybody know where to get an on/off black switch??

    To me, it just looks like he used REALLY coarse sandpaper. That could be the effect your seeing that looks like it was brushed.

    Oh really, COME ON! I diddnt mean to type "TINT" scratches. That doesnt even make sense. I have not used it on a guitar, but i know its not meant to be sanded, and doesnt work well with sanding. Its thick and doesnt dry like normal paint. It isnt consistent in flow or viscosity, which is probably why your getting small scratches. What grit are you going to? I keep telling you. It probably wont be very good in the end, its not meant to be clear coated, or used in the manner you are using it.

    Most people use a cove router bit in a drill press.

    Wow. 1. Wes had nothing whatsoever to do with me leaving the Internet, I can tell you that for sure. Moreso marriage, buying a house, and just getting into other things besides posting on forums and building guitars. 2. If there's something I personally did that bothered you, PM me and we'll work it out, I have nothing but good regard for what you do and build and enjoy your posts very much, and had no idea you had so much hostility directed toward me (or Wes). 3. You are certainly fired up about something tho, that much anger just eats you up inside, I hope you get it figured out, you're a good guy. Drak, I dont believe that he has something specifically against you. I have watched this forum for a long time, and Mickguard seems to have issues with everyone in existence, and always thinks he has a right to attack.

    Ive answered the question twice already. The reason those tint scratches are staying there is because that paint isnt supposed to be sanded.

    If i diddnt read your post, how would i have even known what you were using? Yes i read your post. I said those things for a reason. Engine enamel is not supposed to be sanded. Which is probably why your seeing scratches still. And that doesnt really make sense, you wouldnt be seeing gloss AFTER you sanded, that would make even more flat looking until it was buffed.

    ENGINE ENAMEL????? Why would you use that??? Its not meant to be sanded at all!!! That is paint only for high heat stuff! Wow. Why would you go with that instead of just regular Dupli color? That is the mistake. That paint is flat, and wont buff or gloss at all. Its just not meant for that.

    But, why do they make the "large" crowning file, if it doesnt work on large frets?

    Yes its been asked, and I have gone by what people say. I just leveled my frets, and for once, i actually had to level them enough to have to re crown them. I got the crowning file from stew mac (the one that is 12 bucks for just the interchangeable piece, I put it on a toothbrush for a handle). the frets are FLAT! and yet, the crowning file takes off of the whole fret, not just the sides like it should. The fretwire is the like the second largest fretwire availible,(6100 NS), and i am using the large file) I just dont get it. I am following what everyone says, and it just doesnt take off only the sides. It just goes straight to the top of the fret, and messes up the whole fret. What do i do? any advice? thanks guys for at least viewing this.

    I voted for Big D. Honestly, I hated that skull "LP". Its WAY out of proportion, and that lower horn looks way to small. But it looks well done, and came out very well for being a brush on finish.

    It was probably done on a pin router now that i think of it.

    Yeah, you can, but there is no reason to just rout a body from a blank like that, and for it to be that exact, it couldnt have been done by hand. Just because it isnt sitting on one, doesnt mean it wasnt CNCd.

    Everything gets grounded. Im not sure what your speaking of about the jack. There is nothing to line up????? You wire the jack then install the plate and screw it down. Your asking questions about where your wires go, but you also say you have a schematic. This isnt possible to say both. If you have the schematic, then it shows where your wires go.

    This may be a little confusing to him. It sounds like he doesnt know what a capacitor is, and you say you dont need one. But he obviously doesnt know that a cap is what makes a tone pot a tone pot.

    Its most defnintly done with a CNC. You cant really cut out bodies like that without one.

    Sand it till there is no more finish on it.
