  2. good job ! looks cool! and you can now see if yo have anything stuck in your teeth at gigs! lol
  3. if its a photo cell the bulb might have been blown, but i thin only morley did these. open up the case and make sure the toothed gear is on the pot gear, check all the wired conections, check the battery wire conections, throw it away. lol just kidin
  4. i use the brazing rods, you can get them at depot in the tool section aluminum or brass, dont worry about the white flux on the brass, it scrapes off really easy.
  5. 22 for now, on my guitars i designed the neck so that all the frets could be accessed with out the body getting in the way, like my 61 SG . im thinkin of doing a 24 fret and i wont have to change anything cause i also mount my pickups back off the neck about 5/8" cause i hate that" woofy neck sound" when its to bassy! mine is perfectly warm sounding and i like it!
  6. could be poplar? bass, plywood? you could strip some paint inside the pickup cavity to see, but do it on one of the eges that are routed into the body this way you will see the diferent veneers if its ply!
  7. use "GOO GONE" you can get it anywhere! its a citrus cleaner for just that type of thing! i use it all the time on my fret boards! doesnt change the wood at all! and smells fresh! plus it puts a nice smooth feel to the board!
  8. ovation! look at the bright side! i be with ya in hell !!!!! man i hate old navy!
  9. hey funkle, so whats the porn site? lol i just jokingly ask my wife if i can bid on a prs torqoise soapbar , shes joking says yes! and wallah! i get aprs then i play dumb and tell her i thought she was for real! so far i got a prs, mesa boogie dc-5, and some other stuff
  10. mmm.. the days of school! i had cabinetmaking when i was in school! that was an awsome shop! every tool you would ever need was there! thickness sanders, planers, clamps, tablesaws, shapers, ....etc... to bad i didnt get heavy into building until i grauated! heck if you have access to the milling machine you could even make your own bridge!
  11. i should have them in a few days! i cant wait!! alos his pups are 100% lifetime warranty, and money back or rewind to your specs garanteed! so you cant lose, also i only spent 100$ on a set! try beeting that!
  12. well if you are using a bigsby trem, then go with no.1 because that is what they come with, id do gold bell knobs
  13. i agree, i dont want to lose a great guitar site cause of pirated software, thats why im not gonna take up the offer, sorry nordic
  14. wow i like the walnut strat! hyunsu, i made my prototypes out of walnut back and oone is holoow with mahogany top and the other is with flamed maple top and they sound really good! there not to bright but there not to muddy i think there just right!
  15. hey nordic guad, the 3d sanders are cool i got one a while back! there worth getting!
  16. thanks setch, i like the hot rods, and that is what i used on the RH1 that is up for the voting, but i switched to allieds truss rod mainly for the price, i put one in a guitar im building for a customer and it works really well! plus if i ever wanted i could leave the adjusting allen nut exposed cause its chromed and they look really nice! also with allieds they give you the allen with every truss rod, so i save even more money !
  17. hotrocks i emailed you! talk to ya soon
  18. yes they did! they started back up again i think? but i havent seen one of the newer instruments, but those love rockets were really high class!
  19. i use a dab of silicone caulk one on each end at the rod boltblock things and one in the middle on the bottome rod, the sylicone is rubbery so it helps take the rattle out, i have changed over to a rod the allied luthier sells, its cheaper and its chromed so its protected a little better, instead of 20$ its like 11$
