  1. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...hl=scale+length How I missed that I don't know...I thought I saw everything in theTech area forums

  3. I wouldn't want one, but I wonder if it really does what it says it does. I just looked at the link you posted. You don't need to compensate if you are using a bridge with adjustable saddles. Most bridges on electrics can be compensated at the bridge. It'd be a waste of time to do it twice
  4. You aren't gonna be able to beat the suppliers on the main page. I've looked for quite awhile with no luck. Like it's been said before, "It's more economical to pay more for good quality, covenient shell blanks than it is to search for days to find a bargain."
  5. That's really odd. I don't quite see how it'd help though. Seems like those strings would be out of tune on those frets. Once I saw something like "fan frets" or something like that...didn't look very playable, though. Supposedly helped the tuning/intonation a lot though. I'll see what I can find.
  6. I think I found it from google...don't remember the exact search, but it took me to the homepage. It took me a week or so to realize that there were forums --I didn't pay any attention to much except the tuts for awhile. Devon
  7. Nice work...Where did you hear about using a Dremel to engrave? Sounds easier than hand engraving, but if the lines are too fat that doesn't matter . How large were they? have any pics of work done with a Dremel? Thanks, Devon
  8. I thought Strat headstocks didn't have any angle. 17 degree headstock is really sharp, you'd probably have trouble with strings sticking at the nut. I use 10 degrees...works great for me. It leaves more wood support for the headstock, but leaves enough angle to pull the strings well.
  9. I'm with Wes...you made me a believer, man. I love bocote now .
  10. What are features that make some planes better than others? Any favorite brands?
  11. Anybody got any hacking experience? ...Jehle is being so vague. You're gonna have to cut us in on the deal first, man. Hook us up . Devon
  12. There's another thread on this somewhere that's fairly recent. I don't have the time right now, but somebody could do a search for it. Devon
  13. if you're talking about rattlecans, stewmac sells clear, and reranch.com sells a bit of variety. Devon
  14. There's no way I'd trust someone to build a guitar for me if I couldn't play some of their other instruments first. I'm thinking of getting an acoustic built for me. I'm building electrics because they are easier, but my passion is really for the organic feel of an acoustic. I'd really like to get into building them, but I don't feel confident enough yet. Devon
  15. Didn't mean to be offensive, but it would really help unclutter the board if people would do a little research before asking a question. Devon
  16. Not to mention that there are already about 50 threads on this already. There IS a search feature ya know . Devon
  17. I'm looking at some diamond hone stones for levelling frets. What are yalls recommendations for the grit(s) I should use? Thanks, Devon
  18. I have a foreign made Gibson with a poly finish. People talk derrogatorily about it, but I really really like how hard it is/ Very durable finish.
  19. I want to use some black for a burst I'm gonna do...can't you just use this and lacquer? Devon
  20. Here they are What the heck?!?! A charred neck? Anyone find this a little odd. I know some people like to smash guitars, but I can't say I've ever heard of burning them . Devon
