  15. Ok, maybe i didnt explain properly, yes, if you want it to follow the lines, you have to put in a jumper. I personally put a jumper on the bottom pair and then use the top pair as the send and recieve signals from the effect unit. Sorry for any confusion! BTW, with it setup as i said above, ie one pair send and receive, and the other a jumper, it is a complete signal bypass. Matt

  18. Hi guys. Well, like many people here, i have been trying to find a local luthier who i can talk to and hopefully learn from. I work at a music school, and one of the guys there builds guitars in his spare time, so i have drained him of some very cool information. BUT soon i started to try and find another guy, just so I could have some help from a professional. I put an advert up at my work, and after a while, i had no replies, i was disheartened. Then one day, i was at work, checking out the details of the London Guitar show thats coming up soon, when one of my bosses, Pam, looked over my shoulder and said "Patrick Eggle is going to be there, isnt he?" I replyed yes, and asked how she knew "Oh he told me the other day, when he was rehearsing here" i suddenly felt increadably stupid. one of my Idol luthiers in the UK, probably one of the best in the UK, had been coming and rehearsing at my work for years! I had been serving this guy coffee, tea and Mars bars, and never knew it! I had a look throught the computer at work, and discovered he is next in next Saturday. I dont normally work saturdays, but i think i might that day, just to talk to him! Anyway, i dont know why i wrote this, but im really excited about meeting him, and knowing who he is, lol! btw, heres the site of his work Patrick Eggle Anyway, bye for now! Matt
  19. Hi Bio hazard. this is how it goes, iirc: Ia Ib Top row [Ic Id] Middle Ie If Bottom Ok, the I is the pin, the letter afterwards is MY designation. others will designate other wise. the middle ones (Ic & Id) are boxed in because in effect, they are always on. Anyway, with the switch up, the signal passes in through Ic, an is then routed to Ia, where it is then sent to an effect for example, then it routes through Ib to Id. If the switch is down, it still goes in through Ic, and out through Id, but is routed through Ie and If respectively. Its not to clear in the above diagram, but i will find a picture (or draw one) later if you want! Matt
  20. Hi You could try AxesRUs They have a quick changing stock, and they will probably have a real Floyd, maybe even a lo pro. they are pretty good prices too! Matt
  21. PM him Oh yeah, i noticed that, really i did...
  22. Awesome. Will you ship to UK? any special discount prices? Matt
  23. ok, you guys have got me all confused now (not particually hard, i know) So, how do they bend the lamintaed tops on things like ES-335's et al? I know they use formers and steam it, but in this case, couldnt one use the body as the former? I would like to metion at this point that i have NO experience in this field at all, so if Im wrong, i accept that. And the veneer over a carved surface, for an example, how about the top on the SAGA HT-10 kit? Looks like a carved top with a veneer on it, so maybe it is possible after all. but i could still be wrong.
