  1. Looking good Snork/Nordic. Im not a big fan of jems, but i like this one! Cant wait to see it finished! What hardware and pick-ups are going in there? Matt
  2. That thing looks classy. Im not a big fan of monkey-grips, but hey, if you like it, your the one who will play it! What kind of inish are you goin with? forgive me if I have missed a point somewhere saying what your gonna do! Matt
  3. Hi there mike What are those brandoni's like? Im thinkin of using them on my first project. Which one did you use? Cheers in advance! Matt
  4. How much deeper do you want to cut toward the nut? if its too weak, you could always use carbon fibre backing like parker does on the Fly Sorry i dont actually know the answer, but that is one awesome looking headstock! Matt
  5. Yep, i said this a little earlier. Teles, strats and i THINK jazzmasters are 25.5 (25 1/2) scale length Other Fenders are different though Matt
  6. Yeah, Fender uses a 25 1/2 inch scale. And they gotta be doing something right. Matt
  7. Am i being an idiot, or dont PRS use a 25inch scale? Its probably just my mind goin crazy! Matt
  8. Im not sure, but i think that as close to the 12th fret as possible helps, but it would helpful to know what kind of guitar it is, or if it single or double cutaway. Matt
  9. Damn, that is one nice Guitar. I like the squared off cutaways, and the offset body, oh and the inlay, and the pick-up surrounds, and well, i could describe the whole guitar. In short, i think its great! Matt
  10. Hey A good one im gonna use is www.guitarspares.com gd prices, and it accepts debit card! theres always Touchstone Tone Woods, and WD music, but u said cheap, so tht dont count! Matt
  11. Dammit, u yanks r sooo lucky! us limeys cant buy anything like woods on our version of ebay! Or can we? any brits find anything, except veneer, i got a supplier for tht! Matt
  12. tasty. Im sure your toes are just there by accident, right? Seriously, tht looks sweet (the guitar, not ur feet!)! Matt
  13. Well, at least your giving SmokeyJoe permission to use your stuff, unlike some people who aparently dont need permission. sorry if this is out of place Matt
  14. Heres a direct link: Baritone Mmmm, Floyd Rose a-like to, very metal indeed.... LOL and the scale length is 666mm too! a coincedence? i think not! Matt
  15. My only Distortion pedal (my only pedal at the mo! come on, im a struggling student!) is the Dano Black Licorice, Octave and distortion? mmmm, metal distortion. Think "Paranoid" played on bass with more distortion then you can shake a stick at, with a dollop of digi delay off of the amp. Mmm tasty. Matt
  16. Man, have you checked out "WhatGuitar" Issue 5? They had a section on Baritones. For under £400 you could probably get: The OLP, probably could get a Yamaha RGX420D6 Check it out at www.yamaaha-music.co.uk Matt- "Sub-Guitar" Lover
  17. Ok, im the culprit here. All i ment was that the Fender lot wouldnt even dream about putting those guitars in to manufactor in Korea, as it looks like a full custom job from the custom shop , and not a cheaply made Korean guitar. Ok im not saying Korean guitars are bad (i play them myself, because i cant afford any others!) it is just that they are of a slightly lower quality, though the quality has started to get a lot better now! Oh, and incase anyone was wondering, the comment was directed at BeAR's Acousticaster or whatever the hell he called that beautiful strat. Anyway, sorry if I caused any friction about Korean Guitars. Matt- Korean Guitar Maestro (i wish)
  18. Dude, that website rocks! Anyways, im listenin to: The Darkness- Permission to land InME- Overgrown Eden Nirvana- Nirvana RATM- RATM Eric Clapton- The Cream Of Clapton Oh, and Dire Straits- Money for nothing Come on, everyone sing along "They are the sultans, They are the sultans of swing"..... Matt
  19. Dude, whatever you do, dont let Derek see it, he'll steall it for his purple heart stash... Seriously an, that is one kick ass bass, but one question: does the oak veneer blot the sound of the pickups? Just wonderin. Matt
  20. Ok, so i was gonna do sum recording on my bass, but i needed it to be earthed the whole time whilst muckin round with the comp when not playin. So anyway, i grab a spare 12.5mm (i think!) oatch lead and stick into the ball ends of the bass strings. next i plugged it into the headphone socket of my stereo. still fuzz without earth. dang. so i decided to put the stereo on, and to my amazement, The Darkness started pouring out of my bass amp! I was shocked, and still cant figure out why it happened! Anyone? And do try it, but i dunno if it'll damage guitar/amp. Matt
  21. If you want, i could take thoses DiMarzios off your hands for ya ... Matt
  22. Yeah, first time i tryed to find the Ibanez site, i told my mum to sit with me while i showed her the guitar i wanted, so i clicked on ibanez.co.uk, and oh dear Oh well, a week or 2 away from a computer can be a good thing... Matt
  23. ooooh, Van Halen... paint it yellow, mask with different sizes of maskin tapen and spray black, hmmmm, seems too easy.... Lol i must be wrong in tht case! Matt
