    More tonewood avaibility is always good. I need a new Neck blank, but cant currently be arsed to order from Craft supplies. Also, sometimes and very rarely, it is possible to find some stuff on Ebay. But very rarely. Matt

    Im sorry, but one thing i cant stand is this kind of thing, just go out to a shop and try the damn thing for god's sake. Only you will know if you will like the sound. Personally, I prefer the Vox Valvetronix, but thats me. Also, there is no real need to buy new, search around for a second hand Combo, for $500, you could probably Pick up a s/h lovely bit of kit.. Possibly, i have no idea of American prices, but you may be able to get a TSL601 combo, or a DSL401, or even a fender Hotrod Deluxe. Just get out there and try loads of amps. If you are thinking of buying, the shop owners wont mind you being in there all day if you feel like it.

    I really do have to disagree with that. I got a 5 string bass from them, and it is easily the quality of a Squier. Sounds fat too.

    When we went live, and our singer wanted to have a distorted vocal, we used to use a russian Big Muff. Really raw sound. Then we started using an extra mic, going into a Marshall MG10 little amp and went to the desk with the headphone jack. Also, im sure if you talk to the sound guy nicely enough, he'll overload the vocal line on the desk. Matt
