Hi Guys, I was looking for a tab of yankee rose(teenage memories) and came across this really cool software that not only shows you a tab but has a midi file with it and shows the notes while playing back the song. to answer your question,what you are looking for is called "mylar" and it is a sorta plastic that is only 2 mil thick like the plastic wrap you would use for covering food with.According to some of the pro builders here in the forum you can get this at a sign shop but I can not confirm this.I have also been told that you have to cut the inlay first and then apply the mylar.I have found a link where you can get something like this but is not cheap and they only deliver to the U.S. and Canada,I will post this later cause the link is on one of my other computers

I like DiMarzio ClipLocks but their to short for me,otherwise long and cheap is fine for me

Hi guys, this tube or not tube is a waiste of time both of the things have good and bad points about them. real tube amps give a nice sound and get good natural harmonics and so on but the drawback is that the tubes could go out in the middle of a gig or get broken during transport and you guys know how expensive poweramp tubes can get and tube have a mileage limit(like a year or so if you play a lot). line6 and it peers get alot of different sounds in 1 unit(dont need 30 different amps) are reliable as far as not going out in the middle of a gig(no tubes) dont have to buy tubes for it which is a running cost. I own a line6 pod pro and a ADA mp1 with a EL84 20/20 power amp and have figured out that with some tools like a 31 band eq and a few other things you can get good sounds out of both.If you cant get the sound you are looking for than 90% of the time the problem is how you setup or as my buddy said "the problem is sitting 2 feet away from the amp" Example: Dimebag Warhead is Solidstate Metallica mesa boogie is all tube and both get killer sounds Peace out

ok guys I stumbled across this on the net. http://www.thedecalshop.co.uk this guy make pro waterslide decals for guitars and anything else you may need a waterslide for,he also makes logo inlays and he will make originals for your project as long as you provide the artwork. In a reply mail I got from Mike he said he may offer a discount to forum members ordering from him. Please do not abuse this by reselling on ebay or upgrading your cheapy guitar with the expensive decal and then selling it. do to tech problems I cant post a list of what they sell so go to the site and have look hope this helps some of you refinnishers orppl looking for original decals for your own stuff. cya Rick

I have that book from Martin Koch in German and I like it more than that one from Melvyn Hiscock,better info and so on and a little easier to understand in German and that book from Roger Siminoff I have as well a very nice staining section but yes very 1 sided approach to building. You were saying something about a circular table saw for roughing out bodies,I would say be VERY careful couase you could and up roughing out your fingers. a jigsaw(Stichsäge) would do it as well,but if your friend lets you work in his shop even better cause he could give you some useful tips and so on.I am looking into a cnc mill at the moment (got plans from ebay and my Mrs.said I could build it) so I dont knoew if I need mine anymore but I will figure that out when the time comes. That was really nice of you to get your Dad a router ,you may also want to get him this cool book to from martin koch about building guitars, I have it and I think it is very good and it is also in German. Hi Ace, das ist meine Bandsäge,ich habe sie bis jetzt nur 2x benutzt und es war ok, nicht zu vergleichen mit einem 2000€ Modell, aber es macht seine Arbeit.Ich habe 139€ für meine bezahlt und glaube nicht das ebay ein gute Argument ist weil dann das gegen Argument kommt das die Ebayer brauchen keine Lagerplatz und soweiter. as for the chimay I didnt know what is was so I had a look around the internet to find out about this,its one thing to be unknowlegdeable about something but another to stay that way. thank God for internet and Project guitars
