  1. Looks very nice, the wooden knobs are a nice touch. The finish for the fingerboard might depend on what strings you're going to use, flats or rounds?
  2. Drop filling with CA glue might work. Not sure though.
  3. Beautiful looking guitar. That's some great looking inlay work. Plus you'll always have a safety reminder at hand.
  4. That looks terrific. Not bad for a 16 year old, come to think of it, it's great whatever age you may be. So you're not putting a logo or whatnot anywhere? Looks grand!!
  5. That looks really great. Got any pics of the headstock?
  6. Routing it slowly but surely we'll get there I think. I wasn't planning to rout it to final shape in one go. Mickguard, if you do I wouldn't drill as many holes a we did as the more you drill, the bigger pain in the backside it is routing I think. Progress on this thing really is going at a snail's pace at the moment, We both have exams coming up in a week and after that I hope we can work on them more and finally get these beasts up and running.
  7. I heard that the string exert such a force that those rollers lock up and don't even roll.
  8. The lower bout is the lower/treble side horn. Looks like a fun project you have going on there fellow-Dutchie, good luck.
  9. Great neck on that. Can't wait to see it finished.
  10. Looks good. check out this link about doing neck pockets: http://www.buildyourguitar.com/resources/pocket/index.htm
  11. Looks good so far. Got any pics of what it used to look like?
  12. Looks good, shame about those folds in the corners. Got some more info about the state it was in before, some pics maybe? Thanks.
  13. Lovely fretboard you have there. And I'd just leave the top flat, in my eyes Jr's should be simple and basic guitars. What do you want to use for binding?
  14. Looks great!! Can't wait to see it finished. I'm sure your son will love it.
  15. Looks pretty sweet. I bet the neck looks like it has been there forever with the headstock face and all. Good job. Had a look on Tony's site, he builds some beautiful guitars. And if this sort of break happens a lot because of the bad case design will you be getting a new, better case for this thing? Congrats on it all working out.
  16. That also looks good, but I like the one on this bass more, not as 'busy' as the one on your site. Still a lovely piece of wood.
  17. Wow, every single piece of wood on that thing is stunning. I just can't get over how great that top looks. I'm getting GAS for something with a spalted top now. And I for one think the cavity cover looks good as it is now.
  18. Pretty nice insight to how those things are made. Shame they didn't show their fretslotting jig.
  19. Both look good. And using only two trem springs. They have a Suhr vibe going, with the natural binding and all. Good job!
  20. That Macassar bass is incredible , I love that stuff.
  21. Not too fond of that color but it looks good. Btw you're only allowed to post on pic per post.
  22. Is polyurathane glue a good alternative for this? As that's what I'm planning on using for my neckthrough.
  23. Oh wow That is quite the eyecatching guitar, sweet pickup rings. Handrubbed nitro seems interesting. How did you do it, or is there a tutorial somewhere? Thanks.
