  1. Huh? I havent laughed once in this tread, no pointing fingers either. I have posted in wrong places but I asked for it to be moved when I saw my mistake. >newbie bashing - sorry, I dont understand what that means. And.... I'm not here to score any points? I was just wondering why this is in the "tutorials" section of the forum. Maybe I thought one of the mods would get the "hint" I'm sorry that I replied in this post, I mean this is not the first "post in the wrong section" and I'm sure its not the last. On the decal issue, I still think it's wrong to put a Jem (or whatever) decal on something that isnt, but I really dont care what he puts on his headstock.
  2. Ahhh, so this is a tutorial on.... nah, I still dont get it Just for the record, I'm with Perry on this one, I dont understand why you would want a Jem decal on the guitar, if it was me I'd strip the paint from the head and put "my" name on it, after all that work, why do you want to let people think Ibanez made it? Be proud of it and put your own name on it.
  3. My question remains unanswered, In what way is this a tutorial?
  4. No, really... correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this section(s) was for posting tutorials and stuff, NOT asking questions that fits in other sections. But as always.... I could be wrong
  5. Sorry but... It must be something wrong on your side, I see you have problems with perrys pics too.
  6. You'll make it! You're almost as fast as hyunsu It looks amazing, as always But... how can you make the paint (clear) to cure in such short time?
  7. My latest build, a stratosomething The body is something between a Charvel, Fender and Ibanez... Some specs... Alder body Onepiece maple neck, yup no glued on fretboard, a pain in the hrmmm to make with a double action truss... thats why the "skunkstripe" is so long. Jason Becker inspired "numbers" on the fretboard DiMarzio HS3 in the bridge and neck position, a dummy (not connected) in the middle Gotoh tuners Nitro finish blabla More pics HERE
  8. I guess you dont wetsand and buff that kind of guitar Nice one! so... whats buckeye? never heard of it before, looks amazing!

  18. Thank you! 1: Yes, my own pickup template, but its near standard size SC routed but I thought it looked funny with that tiny telepup in the big hole so I "bound" the inside with rosewood. 2: yes its for me unless someone else wants it I'm not a tele guy, not yet anyway but I'm getting there I like the way it sounds 3: I made them from drawer knobs (dont know the correct english word for it...) drilled and tapped for a setscrew. I have some pics... 4: I'm not sure about the pickups, I was told that the bridge is a duncan vintagesomething but theres no info on it (someone sanded the top and bottom and sprayed it white) The neck pickup is from a japan fender, very low output, if I'm keeping the guitar (and I probobly will ) I'm going to replace them, but I really dont have a clue about telepups so any advice on that would be nice Sorry to disappoint you but.... I'm a higain guy too, until now anyway Thanks! Yes a thick, very dark, almost looks like light ebony, rosewood veneer (can you still call it veneer?) about 1,5 mm both on the back and front. Heres some knobpics: Sorry for the big pictures.
