jbkim
And you may both be right about eric johnsons time date on austin city limits cuz i think he's done it twice. The more memorable is the one where he is wearing that dumb looking high school band jacket! hehehe EJ rips live, he does CLiffs of dover like 2 x faster its amazing to hear. Itll make your head spin! The link I posted lists five appearances. And, yeah, that was pretty amazing to see way back then... before the huge proliferation of the "shredder" types . daveq
The more memorable is the one where he is wearing that dumb looking high school band jacket! I've always wondered what the f that thing was. I have a tab book with him wearing it also. Come to think of it, I really like his solo in "Desert Rose" - great stuff. He's great live although I saw him once with Rush and his equipment was waaaay to loud - piercingly loud. When Rush came on, they didn't have that problem so I don't think it was the facility but who knows.
wylde1919
I saw him in alittle club here in Raleigh NC called the ritz. He was headlining and derek trucks was opening. OMG that was a killer show! I ws amazed at the amount of virtuosity displayed that night. truly killer!

GuitarMaestro
3. Enter Sandman - Metallica (Hetfield is king of riffs) I agree with you that Hetfield is the king of riffs, but the Enter Sandman riff was written by Kirk Hammet.
