Ton Posted December 31, 2004 Report Share Posted December 31, 2004 If I'm not mistaken The Fender Bassman was a Bass Amp that was coveted by alot of Blues Guitarists I saw a Bassman a few days ago in a local musicsture and I saw that it has 2 (hi & lo gain I guess) inputs for a 'bassinstrument' and 2 inputs for a 'normal instrument', each with it's own knobs. Maybe it first was a bassamp, then guitarists started converting it like Scott said, and then Fender start making the amps for bass and guitar. Primal Posted December 31, 2004 Report Share Posted December 31, 2004 At least when you are playing a guitar through a bass amp, you don't have the risk of blowing out a speaker because of extreme lows like you would if you played a bass through a guitar amp.
