Blueroomstudios
Plain old cotton or cotton blend fabric. The fabric that is featured in the tutorial is from WalMart and costs about 6 bucks a yard.
orgmorg
Wow, this opens up a whole new range of possibilities for me, since my girlfriend makes quilts! I could make a REAL quilted top! Seriously, I think I'm gonna try it... along with all the other wacky ideas in my addled brain.
sepultura999
paper can also be used as well, but it can bleed sometimes.
Blueroomstudios
Don't go too thick remember you to get the fabric very smooth and flat. It has to be clear coated, so it needs to be thin.

Joe
Try thermoformable films. www.alsacorp.com a lot of special effect films.... take a look Hey, I know for a fact the material used was 100% cotton because I went to my local Jo-Anns fabric store and that had in the animal section of fabrics. I am currently working on a custom ESP I had buit for me that has a scalloped neck.. I will post pics once it's compleated.
