feylya
I just ordered myself this: http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/prodbilder/160094.jpg From GuitarBargains.com for the grand total of €457.30, which is €90 cheaper than other online stores. I'll let you all know how I get on. Thanks for your advice. Edited February 20, 2005 by feylya

Jivin
I have a mate that has the Natural finish version of that guitar Feylya and its very solid and nice. The pickups were very bright to my ears, even in the all mahogany setup, but thats very subjective. The shape of the bridge seemed to take a bit of getting used to for my style with all the palm muting I do, but thats not major either. Either way, it was very good looking and well constructed, and everything about it was just rock solid Be sure to give us a review when you get it in, and post pics! - Dan
feylya
Sorry Curtis, link fixed. Jivin, if I can put the thing down long enough, I'll post up a review
feylya
Just received the guitar today. Considering it was shipped from Belgium to Ireland in two days, I consider it €60 well spent. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous. Got to go jam with it today so I'll let you all know how I get on with it
Marzocchi705
I played that model in my local store a few days ago, there damnd nice. The inlay kicks bum too!
feylya
The inlay is very very cool. While I would have liked a completely blank fretboard, the flame is just cool. Lovely fret work too. Don't suppose anyone knows what SD models the pickups are based on?
Jivin
from what I heard of them possibly the JB in the bridge and Jazz in the neck? I'm not sure about the Jazz in the neck, but the bridge pickup was quite bright and crunchy considering its an all mahogany guitar, which sounds like a JB. Your call would be as good as mine though, afterall you own one
feylya
Apparently it's a distortion in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. I'm only use to EMG's so my call would be quite uninformed
Daniel Sorbera
your right it's the distortion and 59. Which are amazing pickups! People spend big bucks to get those pickups. There like there most popular ones. I tried that guitar at the same store I bought my godin at. But the one thing taht kept me from getting it is the finished neck. It was very sticky. If it had a better feeling neck I would have that guitar sitting on the stand right now. But I have my godin I just love the neck on that thing Edited March 11, 2005 by Godin SD
feylya
Yeah, the finished neck is a bit sticky but I'm sure I'll sort it out. At some stage. Have to rewire the thing first.
MikeB
one thing that puts me off a guitar is the way the neck is finished, eg the ibanez 7 string 7321. i hate the neck on it, feels soo fake! im sure a lil lovin would fix it! feylya
The neck on my LTD M-100 is finished with Poly and it's the nicest neck I've ever played imo.

I just put one on my project, (almost finished), and it smokes . Canadian guitars rule.
