Drak
Y'all remember this little number, right? (PS, the body in this pic is just rough shaped, not the final shape) Well, I've been on the lookout for a back set for it, see what I found and what you think, pretty wild? Drak
Well, I just won this, whaddya think? Is that a match or what? The interesting thing is that the shape he has drawn on it is almost spot-on the exact shape and size that it will actually be, except mine is a single-cut. Drak
The people who bid against me on that one, well, it wasn't fair really, they never had a chance, I'll tell you that.
i-j-c
Wow...and less than $50..! Should look sweet when finished on that guitar... Looking forward to seeing it done...your work always inspires me, shame I don't have anywhere near the same skill you do (and most others on here)...but I have 30 years of life left in me (I hope!!)...I might be able to make something decent for my 70th.. komodo
Drak, that's really amazing. I really cannot believe that didn't come from the same log. Shocking. KOMODO
Daniel Sorbera
You suck That peice is a perfect match for the top. Are you going to carve the back and top or what?
Drak
The top, definitely. The back, probably not. It makes using the rear natural wood for the covers much harder to make. There was another one like it that Buzzsaw has, but the BIN is $175.00 before shipping, and I got mine for $52.00. Yeah baby! Go to eBay and type in the words 'maple chevron' to see the other one. It's a bit nicer, but heck, it's a back set, I like the ones I got.

Drak
He has definitely increased his prices as time goes on, yes, I've noticed it too. But he wouldn't ask those prices if someone out there wasn't paying them.
erikbojerik
Well done!

t1r12003
Awesome, I've been waiting to see what you were going to do with that. We were having a sort of dual build going on. cSuttle
Amazing pieces of wood, that's for sure. Love that top. The center sap wood is just too cool. You must post pics when that puppy is done.
