BNichols
did you cut the template by hand? and that might make letters like O a little difficult, but that definitely sounds cool

I am sure you will make the proper templates for the route job and place the templates correctly, and I am sure you have your height issues under control(TOM to Floyd, neck andgle and what not). It's pretty thick, though, and takes a lot of clear to build up over it. If you use it you have to be careful to keep the ink from running (a few mist coats of shellac did it for me, plus I was careful not to move it around once it was on), and (as always) try it on scrap first. BNichols
would the mist coats of shellac require a spray gun? i have the shellac but no way to spray it. maybe I can find a laser printer at someone's work

Now that I think about a bit, I had to buy a whole package of the transparency stuff, which was a bit costly considering what I needed it for. You're probably better off taking your design to Kinko's or your local equivalent on a disc and having them print it on a laser printer. It would save you having to shell out for a whole package of stuff that may or may not work for you.

Daniel Sorbera
I have used this type of decal paper used for decals in plastic model kits. Works like a charm and it's very thin so it only needs 1 or 2 more coats than usual to build over it.
