Prostheta
Wow! The photos up until this last post of yours Matt, made the instrument look far less exciting than the end product has turned out to be. The final buffing and polish has really made a night and day difference here. That KTM9 looks fantastic! The scale looks enormous in those photos also....! mattharris75
Thanks everyone. Here is a shot of the new owner with his bass. For a little more sense of scale, he's 5'6", not a particularly tall guy. It hangs very nicely, no neck dive. The density/weight of the woods, the light tuners, and the extra couple of inches behind the bridge make up for the fact that the upper horn only comes to about the 15th fret. ScottR
You know, it took me a long time to figure out why some custom basses went so far up the neck on the bas side....it did eventually figure it out. This turned out beautiful Matt. I love the woods, love the finish, and especially love the neck and headstock. Excellent job. SR
Pestvic
I dont know why but the body shape just looks like "the jetsons" to me. looks awesome though.
mattharris75
Thanks guys. My friend who I built the wenge bass for recorded a little snippet of his instructor playing around on the bass tonight. Thought I'd post it: Edited July 14, 2012 by mattharris75
