dawnofzion
I received my Truss rod from Grizzly and I was wondering which to install it? Should the flat side go against the fret board? or should the round part go against the fret board? I am going to install the adjustment end toward the heal of the neck. Thanks for the help. ToddW
If it's the Gotoh ones, I was told metal up, paper tape down. That's how I epoxied mine in. Todd
dawnofzion
This is the truss rod I bought. http://www.grizzly.com/products/Truss-Rod-2-Way/H6031
Rick500
I would think flat part up, round part down. I use Allied rods that are similarly-shaped, and that's the way those are installed.

westhemann
nut down...the nut is always lower so that it does not stick up above the headstock on a tilt back headstock
dawnofzion
would it be better to install the nut at the headstock versus the heal of the neck? or is the the same?
westhemann
Nut down...not nut at the heel...if you are reffering to what I said... I always put mine at the headstock.
ToddW
But, you can put it at the heal. It's just that access becomes an issue.
Rick500
I always put the adjustment end at the headstock. I like truss rod covers for some reason, and there's hardly a point of having one if there's no truss rod nut under there.
Crusader
Is it the sort of trussrod they have inside a "U" channel? (I can't see much from the pictures) Just crank it up and see which way it bends then you'll know!
