superfly
Hi all, I'm working on a Selmer Petit Bouche copy. I would like the looks to be as original as possible. I'm wondering how the engraving on the origals was done and how I could imitate this. Here's a picture of an original Selmer headstock. Any ideas? SwedishLuthier
Are you sure that is an engraving? In the picture it looks like either a decal of some type or a silk screen print.
ae3
Just an idea: maybe the wood was engraved, then the headstock painted cream. Then the headstock was block sanded leaving only the paint in the channels you engraved. Again, just an idea.
cSuttle
That was either done with a metal stamp or an engraving machine. No way was the done by hand.

MiKro
Have the headstock veneer laser engraved and then fill and then install on headstock, simple process MK
